Roguelike Fishing! by Evan Lamb

[raw]
made by Evan Lamb for LD 41 (JAM)

For the Ludum Dare 41 theme I mixed a fishing game, with a roguelike/survival-horror. The result is a fun mix of fishing, treasure hunting, and the occasional run-in with Eldritch Horrors! The game features a leveling system, plenty of fishing, and a simplistic low-poly art style.

It was pretty fun until the seasickness hit. I'm still feeling pretty dizzy now. Nice work :)

Fun game men ! Just one recommendation, you should slow the move of the boat, beacause, it's giving seasickness ^^

Definitely one of my favorite games so far! Relaxing and terrifying!

Nice work! I loved your art low poly. I had some trouble understanding the controls, but after a while it worked out fine. CONGRATS!

Graphics and sound are nice.

The controls are a little weird and difficult to use. I don't understand why I can do multiple things at once, like move the boat and fish, or why equipping and dequipping the fishing rod are two different button. They should be the same button.

I ended up getting to the Loch Ness Monster but died instantly? I'm not too sure what happened. Maybe giving the player a bit more warning?
