This game was made for Ludum Dare 38! The theme was "A Small World."

You are a white blood cell in the human body. Fight off the infection over the course of one level! What? It's Ludum Dare, I didn't have time for more than that!

Grab colored pills to power up!

Eat germs of the same color as the active pill. You will take damage if your color doesn't match the germ.

Clear out all germs before time runs out to win! Known Bugs:

The collision detection, to put it mildly, isn't good. I ran out of time to really get a good collision system working. As a result, the player can easily get stuck on enemies.

This is the first game I've ever submitted to anything. I'm treating it as a learning exercise more than anything else. I'm not expecting people to like it, but feedback is greatly appreciated. This was my first Ludum Dare, and I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Is it possible to have a game version without installer?

Yes, it is, but I ran out of time to get that version compiled. Do you know if it's okay to get that version online at this point?

That's the link to where you can play an HTML5 build. Note that I can't put this in the game post, for some reason. Every time I try to edit it, it doesn't save my edit.

I kept dying trying to get the pills, lol. Dunno what I was doing wrong. Still, nice first entry. Welcome to the ludum dare ^^

Thx for the HTML5 build. You need to fix the the pills because your game is not playable.

I got really busy shortly after the jam. Just now seeing the feedback. I didn't even see the pill problem in testing. It did what it was supposed to do in the downloadable version. It looks like the HTML5 build is broken somehow. Well, I'm learning. I didn't realize the port wouldn't be the same across all versions.

I just updated the HTML5 build. The only thing I can think must have happened was I uploaded the wrong build before. I have the correct build now. First Ludum Dare learning exercises, ho!
