Kissa, or cat in english game is all about old man who decided to get two pet cats. What he didn't expect was that the cats could multiply! Due to limited time frame, some of the features had to be dropped off. We were planning to have old man having own hunger meter and food service but had to settle for more basic gameplay. I've spent some time trying to figure the mechanics, a tutorial at the beggining should be great. I've liked the art too!

I didn't really like the movement, I got stuck a lot in the corners, and a felt like I was glued to walls at time - I'm not sure if this was intentional. Pretty fun idea though, and good for a jam game, well done!
@rixium I think the getting stuck problem deviates from box collider, circle collider might have been better option to avoid getting stuck.

Firstly I start with two cats with F next tot hem, I ASSUME this meant Female. So I didn't really expect to get more cats. And it would turn out I'd be right as both cats refused to eat anything.
So, I try again. Again two F cats. This time however one DOES eat and promptly spits out two kittens. OK so I guess they're pregnant when the old man takes them home? Anyway. This turns out to be the one time any cat WILL eat. Food is lying around all over but they just WANT TO DIE!
Ah I see you mentioning above about the deviation bug. I guess thats this.
The sound effects were amusing however and you have what should be a fun little concept if you stamp out the deviation bug.
It got a bit hard in the end or rather it felt like there wasn't much I could do to be a better cat hoarder.
In principal, in the beginning you have too much food so it is hard to know what the purr-pos is. The cats are generally happy and there's not that much to do. Where the food ends up while throwing it felt a bit random and perhaps it would have been a better feeling if the food was actually thrown a bit further out from the character.
As the cats amassed I still had the same delay between feeding so there wasn't so much I could have done before or while things were getting all cat. So I think the game would benefit from removing the restriction on time between feedings but have re-up stations somewhere so you have conflicting objectives of feeding everyone and refilling what you carry with you.
@local-minimum Yeah, I realized that the players would just spam the food and the cats would hardly ever meet each other. I could have improved that male cats would have chased female cats down but didn't think about it during the development. Maybe next time we'll have better ai :) (btw, we were planning on the food delivery system but had to cut it out)
@davi Currently there's hard limit of 500 cats where the game calls it quits (otherwise the frame rate drops too much and well...)
