Welcome to Planet Earth. Since humanity ruined everything in the universe, waves of meteorites are coming towards us! Defend the world by destroying the meteorites. You don't want to get our small world too small, do you? :wink:

Things you might want to know before playing: - Windows SmartScreen might block the executable. Click on "More Info" and then you should see a "Execute anyway"-button or so. - Also Chrome might block it. Click on "Keep" to still download it. - The sounds volume is a bit buggy. Please don't put your headphones too loud. - Everything has been done within the 72 hours mark.

First, I think it's necessary some kind of restore life.
Secont, the ship takes a lot of time turning arround the earth.
Third, Not all asteroids have the same distance to earth when they spawn.

Anyway, nice game, keep up the good work
I like the music a lot, it really puts me in a "save the planet with lasers" mood. Could have been a smoother loop though.
I'm putting this last because no one else seems to be having this problem and so it's probably just my dinosaur of a computer, but the controls were VERY slow. Response times of > .5 seconds rendered the game not really playable. But, I left it open while I wrote this so I could keep listening to the music :)
Kidding aside, I like the graphics and I approve of the warning to tell players where the asteroids are coming from.
+1 for using Java but I think you could have limited the game loop to 60 fps and save some CPU cycles.. sometimes the fire-button didn't fire anything.
