But there's this bug that when you die and restart it doesn't work...
Had a bug where I guess my player object was knocked off of its axis, and my controls went haywire and I ended up going offscreen and unable to bring myself back into view...? Locking the players axes might have helped, and some sort of camera follow would have been nice (or just restricting the playfield to what is visible)
Nice design on the main character!
Seems very easy at first but difficulty increases in a nice ratio.
I like the fact that it's a 3D game but you controll your spear with the mouse, basically moving in 2D in every way.
It still looks a little dull, so maybe add some stuff to the environment to make it pretty, but the music is absolutly awesome and fits the visual theme perfectly.
Two (maybe?) bugs I found:
1. I glitched out of the map when I got pushed out by mice
2. The numbers for energy and multiplyer sometimes get wierd values, like .111111111111.
And I have to say this again: LOVE the music! :D
Cool player model and a simple, yet enjoyable idea. Nice addition of leveling up your character between rounds.
Could do with some extra juice from the combat since that is the main focus, when hitting the rats (for example a bleeding effect) or an attack animation. The sounds are great for that but visual feedback goes a long way.
Good entry, thanks for sharing!
I like the low poly rats model but they are very shiny maybe changing the material a bit will help give them a better feel.
The apprearing mouses could have used a warning where they're about to land, and a excluded spawn zone around the player... I got killed by a falling mouse appearing above my head =( But it's a very good job anyway!
There is a bug when you die and want to retry, movements are disabled.
Need more polish on UI, and maybe some smooth shading on rats, but you'd respect the main theme.
Btw I like your play on the aphorism in the title.
