Weeb Runner by Natsu
Weeb Runner
The game's goal is to help the weeb getting to the game store before all copies of Weeb Runner are sold out!
Collecting food will slow him down, decrease his jump height, and he actually becomes fatter! The only way to recover is to keep jumping.
Collecting mangas or game bois (no copyright infrigement here) will slow him down until he finishes reading/playing.
Falling into a pit sends you back to the last checkpoint you got.
Controls
Press Z to jump. That's it!
Notes
The game was actually planned to be an endless runner, but we ran out of time faster than we thought. Hope you enjoy anyway!
Changelog
- Fixed UI glitch when you get a game over while the camera scrolls back to the last checkpoint.
- Fixed problematic checkpoint near the end.
- Adjusted manga read time.

Level design could've used a bit more polish as some jumps are incredibly difficult (especially with those deadly burgers in the way), but a solid game overall.
The graphics are interesting, I like how protagonist gets fat after hamburgers. I didn't manage to beat the game of course (I'm terribly bad and button mashing and precise timing), but I enjoyed it for the part I was able to beat.

It's also very punishing if you don't have bot-level input. It has no ledge forgiveness which makes it near impossible to complete, especially since it has lots of very difficult platforming sections right at the beginning.
Some small fixes were made. I guess these aren't against the rules:
- Fixed UI glitch when you get a game over while the camera scrolls back to the last checkpoint.
- Fixed problematic checkpoint near the end.
- Adjusted manga read time.
The game was challenging and kept me entertained. The fact that the game is 'persistent' between deaths gives a nice strategic element to it (maybe running into items early is a good move, to clear up the path for later).
Thank you for making R a quick restart option even during current runs!
Suggestions:
**Controls**: I did feel the controls were a bit 'laggy' tho, it could use some work there.
**Interface**: mention that Z jumps in the starting window! :D I had to come here to read the instructions
Maybe some more visual feedback when your timer gets closer to zero would be nice.
