LudumDare 41 - Threerena by 3DLeon
Hi Ludum Dare! We wanted to do a combination of classic movement [Like turnbased games] and crazy multiplayer action [something frenetic and crazy with slow movement and shooting style].
In this game two players will have to play against each other to win 3 rounds. Between rounds there will be 'laws' which change the gameplay. So in some cases you will have to fight invisible, with tramps and with slow bullets. Those 'laws' change every round to match crazy combinations. All the resources are made by ourselves during the development.
You will need a friend :c. The game isnt singleplayer, only local multiplayer.
We really hope you enjoy it and we hope you post feedback about it.
[Sry for our english, we are not native :'c]

We made the game entirety in PlayMaker [Unity] and only for PC (Maybe for now... (?)) and we wanted to show you some screenshot showing how it was done :D

Here we have our very first FSM. The movement one. As we sad, we wanted to make it seem like these old games that doesn't have free movement. Instead, they have these squares where you can walk. So, first you have to finish the 'walking' and then you can shoot. It's a very limited type of movement, but we wanted to do it that way, we wanted to make our game a little more strategy because a failure movement could became a lost round.

This is the shooting manager. This is a simple FSM where our player can only shoot in front of their faces. So they will have to be in front of each other in order to kill the other. As we said earlier, we want you to think before you do an action, so, if you miss the soot, your friend [or enemy in this case (?)] can oneshot you.

And then we have this precious thing that we call the 'Game Manager'. But does it do? It make the game a little more fun. And by little I meant A LOT. Earlier I told you abot these 'laws', so this is the culprit. In seconds, you could find yourself in a fight shooting each other and then you can be killed by a surprise trap, or a 'Speed of ligth' bullet, or just because lights went out.
We really hope you enjoy our game and, if there is any issue, bug or glitch; we really encorageous you to tell us about it here in the comments.
If you dont want to donwload it, you can find it on Gamejolt and play it on browser
Thank you for reading! Have a nice day! ^^

It's very pretty, and visual feedback works well, with the cards appearing from the bottom, or the sfx on the menu. Good job here !
First of all, sry for not adding 'singleplayer', we almost ran out of time and we didnt want to have an uncompleted AI. We are trying our best to learn Photon and add a multiplayer mode.
The 'One-shot kill' is made to make the game harder and faster. We wanted the people to feel the danger of getting exposed for trying to get the kill. And yeah, the 'powerups' [cards] are made to make the game funier and harder too. There will be games where you shoot while you move and you have super velocity; and others where you can't see your player and there are traps around.
So as I said, thanks for the feedback and we are very happy that you liked it! ^^
Maybe Audio is the part that i like less.
Great Job! Keep working on it
Thanks for the support! :D
@PSiv We knew about the problem with the font, but we thought texts in the game aren't actually important when you have played the game twice, so we decided to make it look cool.
Thank you for posting your opinion. You really got what the game is about. :)
@dmanzano101 Thanks for the support!, although we haven't a composer or dominate any composing software we wanted to make all the resources by our own, so I can understand what you say. We'll try to improve the sound.
@Hare Software Thank you for the comment :D it was our first time in a jam, and yeah, we suffered a lot, but this kind of support make it completely worthy.
And again, thanks a lot to all of you who are posting your opinions and support, it'll really help us to improve the game and the future projects.
