Love Potion #7.2 by realryanrogers
You Shouldn't have taken that love potion! Now the whole town wants to take you for their own. If too many of them manage to grab you, you'll be crushed under the weight. Luckily, if you're disgusting enough, it will break the spell.
Get the cans of beans to gain gas to fart away your pursuers!

Notes
This is my second Ludum Dare entry, and things went a lot better than the first, but still not as smooth as I would have liked. I definitely need more practice, but I'm happy with how everything turned out, despite it not being particularly amazing.

I didn't know that you can fart, and when I farted by accident hitting space, I laughed even louder. But it seems to be a core gameplay mechanic. I tried it again and I'm not sure what you can do with the farts. Will try again. And I guess the pathfinding is A* with dynamic updated waypoints. I really like it.
UPDATE:
I did it! I am really disgusting. New Game+.
I realized the music is fundamental for the relaxing feel of this game, so it would be good, if it would loop.
Cool game. I like the way chasing mechanic is implemented, taking sharp corners pays off.
Good job!
@lawrence Thanks! I'm happy with how the chasing came out. A little bit slippery, but I think it works
@josefnpat Thanks! I'm glad you like it!
@abilean Hhaha, yea, they definitely get quick! Thanks for playing!
(BTW, Loved your entry!)
The chasers are not posing a serious threat though, I would recommend to make some chasers to do a tackle towards player when get near to make player more aware of the surrondings.
Good job!
I only did new game+ twice, but the ones chasing didn't feel like they were going any faster than before. Not sure if it's a gradual increase in speed on each NG+ you do or not.
@manbeardgames I'm glad you liked it, but I'm sorry I missed you play it on stream (had to sleep at some point, unfortunately). I kind of hastily put the newgame+ mode in about 20 minutes before deadline so I didn't get time to balance it properly, and just went with numbers that felt right, but I think you're correct in that it's not enough of an increase.
The farts are just from my mouth :( haha
Thanks again!
Controls felt smooth, and game was mostly clear except I did play one game assuming left click was fart and I had to fill the meter before using it, dunno why.
Nice short play length was right on point to showcase without overstaying the welcome. Impressive amount and quality of 3d assets for a solo-compo, too.
Good job!
@oliverlevay Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed!
