Clutter Bug by Abilean

[raw]
made by Abilean for LD 40 (COMPO)

Ludum Dare 40. Theme: The more you have, the worse it is.

You are a hoarder. You are a proper consumer and buy tons of stuff and it piles up all over your house. Everyday you have to try to find your keys, wallet, and cellphone. Enjoy this "Where's Waldo" style game.

This is my first game jam, so I am extremely excited to have just finished something!

Very nice first game! I don't understand why the packages twitch randomly. The door knock sound effects could be better. It took me a while to figure out that's what they were. Also, unclear why there are 2 packages between each level.

The sound effects are cute, and I love the animation when you find something.

This was a really neat game concept. I also wasn't sure about why the packages were twitching. Overall, I enjoyed the game. Thanks for creating it!

I liked this quite a bit! Funny use of the theme, and well made. Good entry!

Congrats on your first game jam entry! A pretty good take on the theme, though the framerate dips a bit in the later levels where there's SO MUCH stuff lying around, though guess that goes hand-in-hand with the theme nicely as well :P
Audio's not half-bad either~

For some reason it was a really relaxing experience to dig up a corner and than move everything in that corner to find the stuff. Cool

Lol. One more reason to not become a hoarder! Definitely nailed the more is worse theme. I never really was good at finding Waldo and this game just reinforces that... well, except for level 2. For some reason, I found all three items in 15 or so seconds. Round 3, not so much. Nice work!

lol this is great! The game feels good to play. The song is so short it can get grating, but then it gets hypnotic as you search for your stuff. I laughed out loud at the delivery-men craning into the screen :) Nice job!

This is pretty nice. Clicking so much gets a little tiring, but it's fun to play overall. Good job with this entry :)

That game was a perfect fit to the theme and a great simulation of hoarding. Very funny!

A very original idea. Fits the theme perfectly. I gave up on level 5 when my hand fell off. Only criticism is many times items at the bottom of the pile move instead of those at the top.

I have hereby decided that having a phone is no longer important. It can sit at the bottom of the pile forever for all I care, lol.

Very nice game concept.

Congrats on your first game jam! Very good use of the theme. The game was simple and straightforward. The music was a little bit too short and repetitive but having the ability to control the volume was good. The sound effects were well done and I liked how each level you received more items to reinforce that you are a hoarder. I made it to level 7 before I stopped playing, but only because I need to rate more game :). This was a great entry!

Good first Jam! I thought about hording too when the theme was announced but ended up not doing anything with it. It does fit the theme very well though and kept me engaged longer than I thought it would (lv 12) and I chuckled at the postmen.
