Busted! An Epic Cops Vs Robbers Endless Runner! by CaylebLucas

An Epic Cops Vs Robbers Endless Runner!
* Made In less than 24 hours for Ludum Dare 40...We Joined Quite Late *
Objective Collect as much as as possible. The game gets faster the more you collect. Also your wanted level increases the more cash you get. When your wanted level increases by a full star a multiplier is added to your cash so the next time you pick some up you actually pick up more than normal. (e.g. 1 star gives you x2 multiplier so the cash you pick up is doubled)

Quick and fun to play
Maybe a bit annoyed by the controls, S to jump doesn't sounds really convenient
= Controls seems strange. W or Space to jump would be better. Also movement is a bit janky, jump takes too long and the jump curve should be steeper.
= Hitting a block seems to kill your run too easily. Maybe implement health, or just slow down when hit.
= Which is bad when your opening animation takes more than a couple seconds. Shorten it, or remove it after the first run.
All things considered, good job for a game made in less than 1 day!
Played for a while and it just seemed to be another endless runner as the other half million that exist. I would try to find something that makes it different to the rest.
@dawik9000 @Raphael the game increases in difficulty the more cash you collect. (It gets faster and more obstacles appear)

Nothing much to say other than what the other commenters have said. When we reach the higher starred levels it felt like the boxes were laid unfairly (though I guess they can be navigated by moving mid-air). And maybe a losing animation would have been a nice touch.
I really like the graphics, and the sound is good, too. The idea is simple, but it works and it's fun.
There are some things you could improve, though: Like others said, losing beacause of colliding with the side of an obstacle you have already successfully dodged feels a little unfair. The jumping is ok, but it could feel more natural. Right now it feels inbetween optimal for gameplay and physically accurate, and I think you should go for one of those.
But I really enjoyed playing it. Impressive for just 24 hours of work! :)
**Cons:** Side-to-side movement was not too great.
Classic endless runner game with an interesting setting. Side-to-side movement in these games is usually locked to 3 lanes, so this was unusual, especially because there were 3 lanes of items on the road. Jumping was a little bit too sluggish. Definitely good for a game made in under 24 hours. There is potential to expand onto mobile platforms if you polish up the movement and flesh it out a little bit more. Good work.
I know it aint easy... and I can see several things you were able to do in Unity that was really inspiring (camera movements). Congrats!
