LD41 Promo.png A first person text based adventure game

Mrs. Lavender's husband had been involved in a terrible accident resulting in life threatening brain damage. Thanks to a new groundbreaking but experimental procedure doctors are calling "Lobotomous Miraculous", Mrs. Lavender's husband's brain has been replaced with a state of the art computer chip. She will be able to control her husband's movements and enter text based commands for him to execute. It will be just like before the accident!

Join Mrs. Lavender as she takes her husband for a trial run!

WASD to move Mrs. Lavender's husband

TAB to open command console

Note: We didn't have time for a title screen so make sure your speakers are on and you're ready to go so you don't miss the intro dialogue!

We didn't intend to both take part due to other commitments but Rodo ended up starting a solo game himself. He created the bulk of the game then Poffle joined in at the eleventh hour on Sunday night to add some colour and story to Rodo's humble project. We wish we were both on board from the beginning as we had a lot of fun making this game, we could've made it a lot longer but we're happy with what we came up with! We hope you like it.

I think the concept is hilarious! The game's pretty fun too! (But the concept is hilarious. I love it and it makes me want more for some reason!)

Great combination and idea! I got a bit lost toward the end on what to do, perhaps marking tasks as completed would help with what's left to do? Also something about the movement feels slightly off, but otherwise, great entry!

Short, but fun as always. Very funny concept, and was really cool seeing references to your earlier games. Your art style worked very well in 3d, and your music is good as always.

As usual, the biggest problem with games where the user inputs text is getting the user to input the correct text. This game managed it pretty well, but I did find myself stuck at a couple points. The to-do list was also confusing because I didn't actually do much of it but still made it all the way to the end. The concept was really cool though, and it was actually executed pretty well. The mood was also set really well and even got me pretty creeped out after the TV dialogue. Overall this was a pretty cool entry. Great work!

A list of available commands (with 'help' or 'list' command for ex.) would be helpful, and as said, some feedback on the todo list would be helpful too. But I manage to win the game, so I suppose it's working well like it is. As always with your entries, I liked the mood and the arts. Well done, especially for a LD you didn't plan to do

Wow, it was very eye catching from the start and the mood is 5/5. The narration did its job very well. Liked the camera + steps effect and the art is cool, specially the pictures on the walls.
It's a bit liited gameplay wise but I'm glad I played it. Could be turned into a more complete game.

I had fun playing this game, but it was a bit hard to guess what would be compatible commands. I loved the graphics and mechanics. A great idea!

Ah I recognise the pixel art style... I thought this was a really really REALLY great concept. I wish the text parser was a little more complete and helpful, but I guess the guy HAS had a lobotomy. Great stuff.

I had fun trying your game out but I think more clues on what to do next would have been really helpful. Keep up the good work :)

It would be really nice to have a help command that lists all the available commands for an object
Great voice acting humor and mood.
Sadly the game has had some bugs. When I first played kicking the door did not knock it down, but I restarted the game and it worked. When I tried to straighten the panting it didn't seem to have an affect.

I saw a gif of this game when it was still a work in progress and wanted to play it. Glad that I finally found it! It was really fun, although I got lost after taking out the trash and straightening the picture. Not really sure if I finished the game or not. Really like the concept though, and I hope you make a longer version :)

That was... interesting. The concept is hilarious, and the graphics are pretty good. The voice acting is nice, but you do have some issues on the design side. For one, you have no indications as to what you are supposed to do whatsoever. The little nudge with kicking the bowling ball needs a little more. Some sort of reference to his powerful leg would be good, coupled with a little mention of the door needing a little force to open. You could also make sure that the detection for the little cage at the end works better. I found it almost impossible to trigger the end of the game. You need to make sure that it happens every time the player walks into the cage, not just when the player slams into a corner of the door.

Good job, and good luck!
