I Have No Spoons And I Must Survive In A Capitalist Society by Jane Dove

[raw]
made by Jane Dove for LD 39 (COMPO)

A small clicker game about the spoon theory. Or a modern day survival-horror, depending on your point of view.

Hahaha! At least I got a lot of laughs.
The title got me, I had to play this game.

I have something to complain about though, the screen got stuck on day 5 a few times. Maybe it’s because of my browser, idk but it was a bit annoying.

**Overall** I think this game was a lot of fun. I would totally play it over and over again if my screen didn’t act so strange!
Thank you so much for this experience and good luck in the future!
Have an awesome day, and I hope to see you in the next jam!

Hilarious! :D Amazing title. Unfortunately the game often locked up for me, didn't react to any of the buttons so I couldn't reach the end. Great fun though.

Very interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Qv2KH3BQm4

This is pretty fun!
Reminded me a lot of Papers, Please! with the end-screen and health-vs-fun-vs-work balancing.
The game did lock up a few times for me, becoming fully unresponsive.
Overall, great job! :)

Don't know why after a while (but not 10 days) I can't do anything else, but I still have 10 spoons, mood fulfilled, and my job. Anyway, even if some sounds would have add to the game mood, it was interesting to play, I would say that it is, maybe, too easy.

I like the concept, and you did have to think properly about your decisions. Unfortunately it got stuck quite often so I wasn't able to get to the end, but I did finish my homework!

(Edit: I think the game freezes if you try to click the homework button after you already finished your homework)

Man, your game is so funny ! How did you got this idea ? It's the most unique idea in this jam ! Good entry.

Refreshing take on the theme. Fun to play. However, the controls often stop working for some reason, like I can't click anything. BTW I am using the latest version of Chrome, Win 10. Surprised that it has not crossed 20 ratings yet.

Interesting! I have flashbacks to the Tick... SPOOOOOON! The world needs more late-capitalist games about spoons.

Cool idea lots of humor in it. Soem sounds/background music would have helped setting the mood. For me the game also froze after i finished my homework (in the screen it said you almost finished your homework) and than i clicked homework again.

Funny game, though I kept running into a bug where the buttons stop working, so I wasn't able to go lose my job and continue to never finish my homework. I did have 10 whole spoons though.

Like many others, I kept hitting the frozen buttons bug. It seemed to always be on Thursday?

The one time I was able to "finish" I starved to death, so that was fun.

The game was still fun, and the messages made me laugh.
