Escape the Room: Small World by jmschrack
You find yourself locked in a cult leader's study. Can you use the artifacts at your disposal to figure out the code to escape?
The development process: We had one programmer, one designer, and one artist. So we tried a different approach to this LD: we used a tool oriented development approach. Our programmer worked on making the toolkit for an interactive, Myst-like game, so that we could easily build and create interactive puzzles. The killer for us, was that we ran out of time. Sunday night rolled around and we were burnt out. Sadly that meant actually using the toolkit to make puzzles is what got cut short. So our game is about half as long as it should be, and has a fair share of missing effects as such.
All in all, we Learned a lot during this jam! Just wish we had more time, we ended up cutting the puzzle aspect short and didn't get to use all the weather effects we wanted to.
The graphics are a mix of free models online and stuff we made from scratch. The room, globe system, and desk were all made from scratch and textured. The props were free models we found on the Unity Asset store. The music was generously provided by Jonathan Marlin https://www.jmarlinmusic.com/
