Nice concept, I'd like to see what direction you take this game.

Hey man, cool concept but I would say needs work :)
Like Feedbacks and Ui, plus the art too. But it was a jam and u did well. Happy to see C3 xD I used C2.
Here is a link to my game, do check it out - Thanks :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/the-tiny-world-we-live-in

I like the art and the simplicity, it didn't take long to feel a bit repetitive to me though. I think the game felt too forgiving maybe. I think I'd have to afk a good while to actually lose. I mostly wanted more to do.

Hey! It's cool, but maybe a little bit repetitive. Feel free to have a look in my game! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/emojixy-wars

A bit simplistic maybe, but the idea is nice.
Maybe display intructions on screen, so it's easier to understand ?

Had an interesting concept, but quite repetitive and simplistic. I'd definitely love to see you continue working on this in the future, it has potential! Good job :)

It's a great game but took me a while to figure out what to do. The concept is really great but it would be great if there would be an ending for the game when you lose all your health as I was just walking around with negative health. A mini tutorial would be nice (even though I didn't quite make it myself :/ ) Here is my game that I made: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/fixville

It's a cute idea and very fun to play once you understand it. I stopped playing when I got the hang of it, but enjoyed the time I had spend on it.
Since everyone is posting links to their game I'll do the same: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/icarus-isolation

The concept is pretty interesting, but it gets repetitive after five minutes or so. One thing that I found fun was to try to have the asteroids fall all in only a few piles, so that I could grow more flowers. However, the asteroids come in too fast, with no warning, and it is difficult to remember which button to press to turn the world the way you want.

Seems like something that would make for a great mobile timekiller with a faster pace

I like to plant flowers. But the game quickly turned into a routine. I don't understand what's the fun in that :(

I like the concept, but what I have to judge is a game, and a game is not been presented. What is the goal? What do the numbers mean? If there were some kind of purpose it could be great.

Took me a moment to figure out how to collect bits. Once I saw the controls it was straightforward from there.Keeping the planet alive as long as possible can be fun.

Interesting little resource management game. Could definitely be expanded upon in all sorts of ways.

You have a decent foundation, and the mechanics worked well, but I struggled to understand the goal. Why am I taking damage? What role does air play? Good concept, I would like to see an added layer of goals/challenges.

couple of things i'd suggest is 1- making a better entry with explanation on the controls and the goal of the game and 2- making background look like a starry night sky would look better. Other than that, the game is pretty simple and straight forward. Could use some sounds and some kind of end game / finish. It feels like the game is just infinite score stacking which is nice but at the same time gets repetitive quickly, so as I said, could use some kind of goal and finish. Cool concept though, seems more like a proof of concept or just a test of mechanics though, could definitely be improved to be made into a fun game.

I think the foundation is good, but there didn't seem to be any core engagement choices, like, plant flower, or plant defenses, or to do anything beyond just spin the planet for all eternity. Perhaps adding some additional elements to increase engagement?

I agree with others that the game is very forgiving, or maybe I didn't play long enough for it to become more challenging. I like the little flower asset though. Good luck with your game!

It has an interesting concept, however the game could've been more exciting if it had more gameplay elements. Also the graphics are incredibly bland. Other then that, good job!

Man you gotta respect the Compo entry, and the challenge of making assets, gameplay, and everything else in 48 hours. I think this has some solid gameplay, even though it took me a while to figure out what was going on.

Simple but effective concept. The graphics are a bit simple. Sometimes the minerals seem to fall to far and get stuck in the planet, where you cannot reach them. The game could be interesting if some more elements are added.

Now, I know we get oxygen from vegetation etc. But it sure is good that we don't have to eat flowers to breathe :P Simple game but cool.

had fun with this. nice minimalist execution of the open world survival genre. im sure with some work it could be a hit on newgrounds.

Fits the theme very well. Similar in concept to our own submission. Like the concept, but kept running into a problem not being able to plant flowers. Not sure what the final objective was (not sure the author got that far), but the general idea is there. Would like to play a more polished version.

Nice idea. With a bit more balancing of minerals and life-impact this would be highly engaging! Great work!

I enjoyed rotating the planet and picking up the bits. Would love to see the flowers grow. I could also see maybe my health or air draining a bit more aggressively to create more tension about having air but also having to consume flowers to stay alive.

Is there a game over? I reached negative numbers at each parameter at least once and nothing happened.
Lost few minutes on founding controls, and not even sure that I've found all of them. You should add them to the post.
Game itself has nice concept, but game process is kinda plain, nothing changes while time passes.

For next viewers:
left/right arrow - spin planet:
up - gather rose / bit
down - plant rose

Hey, I gave it a few minutes but I couldn't even figure out what the goal of the game was. I think you should take some time introducing the mechanics and establish the goal in the beginning of the game and then go from there.

Also it entirely lacks juice and feedback for actions. Did you watch Juice it or Lose it yet?

I have found that games are enjoyable because people like to learn and experience new events. That is why people say that it is fun for the first few minutes before it becomes a "routine". This game has a great start, beautiful idea and well made in two days.

If you are ever planning to continue this, then try adding new problems or goals that the player has to figure out and achieve. That's what makes a game fun. Good Luck :)!

Nice start. Having more tiers of construction, or an actual goal would have made it a better game. Also encountered bug with not dying even though I was at -55 health... It wasn't clear what the goal was. Initially I thought I wanted to consume all the 'bits', but later realized I want some of them on surface. The spinning mechanic is a good idea, but needed a bit more depth to make it fun.

Interesting idea, I first had difficulties to understand what I should do, what was expected. Nice start anyway, could be enriched with graphics, sounds and feedback.

Echoing others, it was good for a jam entry, was difficult to figure out what was going on at first - hard to get into. Then played for a few minutes and it didn't seem to have end goal. I think it was and ok game. It would be cool to see this more fleshed out.

The main idea was pretty good, create your world from scrap. but this demo is very simple, don't demonstrate the full potential of the game. however is a good idea.

I said this on newgrounds, but I might as well repeat it here :)
This is a pretty fun game, and I actually got sucked in for about 5 minutes. But there were a few flaws; the health was able to go into the negative and when I had only one mineral I was able to build a flower and it would go down to -4. But other than that, it was pretty good!

It's a good start, but needs some sort of goal or score system to get me more engaged.

The core concept could definitely be used in future - I can see a neat little game in the making here!

Some of the stats ended up in the negative for me, which I assume is a bug.

The gameplay was a bit opaque at first - some in-game instructions/tutorialising would go a long way if you plan to develop the concept.

Cheers!

Hi! Nice concept but you have to make graphics to make the game more captivating, same for music. But it's a nice concept well executed, interesting to play and a good management game!

Great idea, I think with a little polish (menus, more feedback) and some balance tweaks (things are a bit easy) you'll have something good going here. Nice entry.

I am sorry man. even after I've read the description on newgrounds (which should've been here) Ididn't get the concept of the game. I was collecting some bits that magically fell onto the thing and planting some flowers but then some random numbers were there and it was all just a mess. I am sorry. perhaps explain it a bit better

It was very confusing, but, if I understand the concept, it would do well with some fleshing out.
Good job!
