Xenoperil: You Must Survive by tyranosaw
Lost on an alien planet, your only option, click to survive.
Controls: Click.
In this unfamiliar world, you must remain aware of your health, both physically and mentally. Gather water and hunt for food. Stay well rested and meditate for your own sanity. How long can you last?
To follow the theme of the Game Jam, we attempted to combine the genres Clicker and Survival. Why? Because as they say... Make the simplest game and polish the heck out of it.
Reflection: We like this concept, and think it's pretty neat. It has potential. Though this game definitely needs time put into it to be balanced and exceed to be a great game.
NOTE: There is no win condition, so play till your happy :)

By the way, if you used Unity, why not a web version ?
The only problem is that there are no upgrades to your basic axe. And thus you have to click more and more for each upgrade of the other tools without getting that feeling of progress and satisfaction. And there also no ways of making it automatic. Pretty much all clicker games get to a point when it just plays itself and you just watch numbers go up. Well, there is nothing of the kind in this game, so my personal opinion is that is lacks this integral part as a clicker game.
And again to repeat myself and to end on a positive note. This game has very pleasing and relaxing audiovisuals. Wish the game did not pause when clicking off its window, so I would be able to hear the soundtrack while writing this feedback :)
Anyway thanks for the feedback!
Overall, this game is beautiful and moody and I loved it. Once again, well done!
Overall a really great entry, and I look forward to seeing more from you guys in the future.
Whatever, I found that playing this game as is was very pleasant, mainly thanks to the meditative music, and surprisingly a little challenging : I tried to reach the higher level for the three tools, and I sillyly lost my second game because I forgot to watch my hydratation bar.
Good job, I liked to play this game.
Edit : also, as the "spirit" bar can go down without dying, a win condition or a score can be make with it, for example by gaining levels of illumination each time it is fully filled (starting the game from zero, and restarting from zero each level gained).
The mood is excellent, so are the graphics and the audio, and the game deliver a very entertaining experience.
I feel that water is waiting depleting a bit too fast when hunting, especially as it's very slow to drink even with a upgraded scooping tool, but I'm just nitpicking here.
Congrats for your great game!
Interesting concept though and I like the art.
