Pass the Buck by tg1397

made by tg1397 for LD 44 (JAM)

You are a sentient dollar bill, sent into the small town of Stony Meadow to help a variety of its citizens make crucial decisions in their lives. Are they getting white or wheat bread, visiting their friends or visiting a college, or going to get that engagement ring they're considering? This is a text-based, decision heavy game with a lighthearted story and pixel-art characters. passthebuck2.PNG This game was created using Twine by a bunch of writers, a musician, and an artist. We've done our best to catch all the little inconsistencies in the text, but there may still be some stuff we missed. Sorry. Enjoy! Passthebuck.PNG

This is the best interpretation of the theme as of now.
That was amazing, great idea.
Also the soundtrack was pretty sweet, characters theme are so spot on.

I really liked the game, and the application of the theme. The music was pretty good, the art was good, and the characters were pretty well-developed in the short amount of time it took to make it through the game once. And I like that you didn't have to restart the whole game in order to go back and make a different decision! Great work!

This was a cool unique and refreshing experience. If you're here to just play a quick round and rate then sit down with some popcorn because you will need to do some reading. Although you will make choices that will affect these peoples lives and witness the outcomes. It's a great relax-time type of game.

Like other folks said, I enjoyed the use of the theme a lot!
I do think that you could have implemented the story in a more digestible way? Like every time I clicked it felt like I was slammed with a big wall of text. But nice writing! It must have been hard to write it all.

Great use of the theme and loved the character graphics! I'm not usually a big IF player, but I liked the characters in this a lot!

I want to play it again and again to learn everything about the characters, and would love to listen to the music more!

Good game, but due to the fact that the plot is built on the text, I would like to see the option of changing the language:)

I loved the theme. The music is great. It would be great to break up the text a bit, as least in the beginning.

Not my type of game, so I will skip some of the ratings. I really liked the art and music but the general presentation of the texts could've been better packaged to fit the general pixel art.
