When the world needs a hero and there is no one out there, he comes to the rescue. Agent Solid. He is not a human, he is a natural born Snake. He seeks and eliminates any target on his way. And eats it.

Play as a snake aka special operative with the only one mission: to get rid of the target.

As in a regular snake game you are going to eat. And grow up. But in this game, when you grow, your experience differs: - small and hungry snake can go into a small vent holes and tight places. - medium snake is in a good fit. can reach the buttons to interact with a world. - large snake is a killer. Can eat anything, including your favorite sofa or antique table. No remorse! Note: eatable food are highlighted

Extras: - Boxes! Yes, yes. You can crawl in the boxes my friend. - Patrolling enemies. Be cautious, can trigger the alarm. - Special objectives such as classic silent assassination. i.e. cut the wire and drop that huge chandelier into an enemies head. Who did that? Not me. - Snake also can jump to reach some hard-to-reach places. Woah! Was that unexpected? - Evac like a Boss! After eliminating the target, fly away using your personal copter. As you-know-who.

Software used: Unreal Engine 4 + ufsm, Qubicle, Maya, Aseprite

Controls: W - move forward Shift - sprint Space - jump Left Mouse Button - interact / attack an enemy

Game-pad should also work, got connection issues so haven't had a chance to test yet. But I tried!

Note: Glitches! Glitches everywhere!

It is fun to play. I liked your level design.

The game is pretty cool but I had game-broken bugs while playing it. If you reach the biggest snake size while in the door sealed room, you get stuck because you can't leave the room, you're too big for the walls (event if you're visually smaller). At the elevator, I left the map when I touch the button, I had to retry several times to finally move the elevator.

The game concept is good! 3D snake with stealth factor.. what an idea!
The game seems a little laggy, maybe too much effects on camera movements?
Thanks for your entry!

Haha! Ok, that was awesome. A stealth snake game. Laughed a lot when I managed to use the box. Great stuff, and good simplistic 3D art as well.

What did you enjoy the most about making it?

@hyorvenn thanks for a feedback. About snake sizes, it was actually a feature :) You have to think what you are eating. But I agree that it looks un-obvious. Wanted to add some in-game joke in that place but got no time
small snake can sneak everywhere
medium - only doors
huge - open spaces

As for the bugs. Yeah man, there is tons of them :)

My work PC doesn't run this (well, unless we're talking 'seconds per frame' instead of 'frames per second')
Remind me to play this when I'm home tonight, because it does look interesting!

@temmy Oh, everything :) I suppose that this is the way the games should be developed. Trying to make the whole process enjoyable sometimes gives you much more joy than the result. And jams by themselves provides participants with this possibility. It is a great luxury to get the opportunity to look at the whole picture in an extremely short period of time and improve yourself in the result. So, answering your questions about what I enjoyed the most are.. Conclusions!
But, if it was a technical question, then character mechanics. Actually I was changing them several times. There even was a turn-based version, but not for a long time :)
Thanks for a feedback!

@memel06 Yeah, that was a mistake probably. I was trying to compensate my horrible voxel design with a tons of post-processing stuff. Oh man, it was lagging a lot on Ultras in the Editor :)

@tayfun Thanks! Good to know that it was fun to play. Looks like you are a lucky guy and successfully missed most of the bugs provided in a rush :)

Very funny game, good graphics, no sound sadly. But fun to play! :)

@vinterskog Thanks, got no time for the sound side unfortunately. That's a shame :( The only sound effect that I wanted to add was this one obviously :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNJ1B_2b17s
But since it's my first LD and I was not sure about it fitting the compo rules, I decided to skip this step

I'd love to see this concept play out in a longer game. It's a cool mechanic for a stealth game :)

@thibaut-blanca Thanks! It just came by itself almost instantly after reading LD41 theme. And I was sober by the way. And not on drugs :)

This is a very clever idea and implementation. Nice job! I don't have a Windows machine to play test, so I checked out the video. I was only left wishing for some audio :(

That was cool. It took some trail and error for me to figure things out but that's good for a small level. Nicely done. Check out my game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/dating-sim-hell

@mccordinator , @cole-and-jordan-studios , thanks for a feedback. I was planning to add short in-game tutorial level to make everything a little bit more understandable, but unfortunately ran out of time and left everything "as is". Glad that you figured all out by yourself!

Very clever approach and nice implementation. It fully deserves to be awarded ;) Well done!

As the previous comment says, well-deserved. ;) Managed to beat it after a few tries, probably would've been harder had I not known the overall approach though; really reminds me of the old Hitman games. I was also constantly trying to rotate the movement direction with A/D, but that could just be a habit of mine, I guess. Great job!

This seems like a really neat little game, but it ran VERY slowly on my computer for some reason, so I wasn't able to complete it. But from a first impressions standpoint, very well done!
