Plenty of Fish by PaterJosch
My Entry for Ludum Dare 41
the Theme was combining 2 different game genres or smth, so I made a Fishing/Dating Simulator
The Goal is to fill the Love Meter to the left in order to marry your chosen waifu.
This can be done by pressing space to charging and throwing your fishing rod, as well as reeling it back in (with or without catch), and, once an item has been fished, deciding what to do with it with arrow keys, wasd and space bar.
You have to Fish for a pretty Girl first tho.

There are plenty of things im not that happy with, first off the music and soundeffects, as well as the graphics, secondly that the game crashes when you want to close it/it is over and wants to close by itself.
That shouldnt be a big deal however, since its supposed to close anyway.
Hopefully you have fun with it.

Would have like to see some more fishing mechanics, reeling in etc.
* Catch 5-6 objects whilst fishing for a wife.
* Catch wife; (s)he's an Agent, apparently.
* Catch 6-7 more fishpeople.
* Catch two nukes that apparently result in a drastic "love meter" reduction no matter the option.
* Catch 6-7 more fishpeople. Again.
* Catch three diamonds in a row.
* Catch an old boot, prompting my wife to marry me.
Woah.
Onto what i liked about the game: I really loved the graphics so simple and nice and set a lovely mood for the game, the different things you could catch was interesting and kept me playing for a while longer than i probably should of lol. And i liked the use of the theme fishing and dating sim pretty unusual and cool combination.
Love the art style, looks simple, but moody and yet detailed.
The easy controls makes it easy to keep going.
Good job!
