A game about slithering and growing crops! Join Snek, the smollest grin snek that believes himself to be a worm, in his quest to grow (and eat) a lush garden of fruits and veggies!!

Instructions:

Select a map to play in!

Slither onto the dirt to make trenches.

Press Z, X or C to plant Lettuce, Strawberries and Watermelons. Planting consumes your health!

Go into the water to collect it, and back to the crops to water them.

Keeping them watered makes them grow faster! Once they're ripe, they're ready to eat!

Lettuce is the fastest growing, but gives back the littlest amount of health.

Strawberries have medium growth time, and give back a medium amount of health.

Watermelon takes the most time to grow, but it gives back health aplenty!

See how long you can become before hitting yourself, or the walls!

Press ESC at any moment to go back to the map selection screen!

I was so delighted by this game! Fits the theme really well in a totally different way than I've seen any of the other games do it. It feels polished and fun, and the audio makes it really satisfying. I feel like I'm going to come back to this to play it in my free time!

Took me a while to understand it completely, but I really love this idea. I love playing classic snake from time to time, and this is a nice take on that! Great execution. My browser made it look really blurry, but looking at the image on this page, that was definitely not intended, so I'm ignoring that blurry thing :p

the music is really charmful and relaxing which really fits with the theme of farming. I thought most of the games in this jam would be very intense due to your life being a currency but I just felt charmed moving my snek around planting some delicious strawberries. My only feedback and maybe it's just b/c I'm old b/c I was told the sounds in my game were way too loud. But I can barely hear the sound effects over the music (but I love the music)

Looks great, solid gameplay, interesting spin on a classic. I think I got a bug in my playthrough as I've seen comments about the music but I didn't hear any (I got sound effects though so my audio was definitely working). But I loved the game.

After playing a lot of "sadistic" games, it's refreshing to play this one. Love the music and the concept. The spin on the classic game is amazing. The graphics are good too!

Fun! Loved the art and a cool refresh snake games! The controls felt like they could be a bit tighter maybe? I felt like I was regularly missing my turns, but maybe I just suck? Really enjoyed trying to grow my plants and the multi passes on any given tile really liven up the gameplay. Thanks for sharing!

Really neat idea! Played a couple rounds. Both the first and third map. Made me think about what the optimal strategies were (I feel like I had the best chance when I farmed everything in a line.) Great job!

What a great use of the theme! It took me a bit to get the hang of the controls (the snake moves a bit fast), but after a bit, I found a pretty comfortable rhythm. The art for this game is absolutely beautiful, the logo in your post alone drew me here out of sheer awe. Given the detail in the art, I completely understand the time it all must've taken to complete. All the same, I really wish there was some music to this, would've upped the ambiance to a whole new level. Overall creative and gorgeous game!

Very nice sprite art, and a fun and simple yet solid little premise that works with the theme! A job well done.

I have a hard time in the first minutes to figure out what to do, and then I've read everything again to get it right, lol. Great concept, loved the gameplay and the feeling on biting the plants/fruits is great, I couldn't stop harvesting to eat them in a straight line. Also loved the dirt path detail.

What an awesome idea! I agree that it was tough to figure out what to do first, but after that it's just pure fun.

That's really solid. I thought every possible variant of Snake has been made like in nineties, yet here you are.

Super fun and relaxing! I love the idea here, would love if this was like a snek rpg even. Could use some work on the audio but it's fine enough for the time given.

Really cool idea that fits the theme great. One thing to note is that the music is not playing in Firefox for me. Chrome works fine!

Really cool game with a great work on the main aesthetic. Controls are smooth and all works as expected. You did a solid entry introducing an usual gameplay. I love this one - too addictive and relaxing. The way you manage with the theme is pretty interesting. However I have no music - only sounds. Overall well done. I wish you the best ++

This is such an addicting little game, and what a wonderful twist on the original! Maybe for that third level you could start the snek a little further from the wall; it seems like he's a little close. Makes me want strawberries; good job!

I guess the best way to play is attempting to fill the whole field with ripe melons and then collect them all at once? XD
A very interesting variation of a classic :D
The trenches probably would have benefited of an auto-tiling function :D

I liked playing it a lot. Would've been nice to see some feedback when you plant a flower. If's difficult to see until the snake body has passed.

Some other reactions to the plants would have seemed better too, there is not really an interesting choice in the three crops.

Either way, well done.

Just saw your game in the same video where Randomise User's played ours, so I had a go at it myself. I love the art, it's super cute and consistent. The music is relaxing and suits the type of game well.

I kind of felt like I was missing some kind of escalation in how challenging things were, I think the types of crops you plant could be more interesting rather than having a balance in how much health they give/how long they take to grow.

Overall though, very well polished and cute!

I like the addition of the plant-growing and watering mechanic to the standard snake game. I definitely added more interesting challenge to the gameplay. Nice job.

Pretty cool game! I liked the concept that you have to keep watering the plants to get bigger. I also liked the level select that was a nice touch. Good job!
