- The movement and jump feels drifty
- Screenshake on every shot... Is probably excessive. Or it might be just the individual shakes are too hard/too long.
- Sometimes the enemies come at you from impossible angles, either from the air or because you're standing on a big pile of stuff and you can't get on their level to shoot them. While that's an opportunity to present a challenge, right now it's mostly just run away and hope you can run far enough that they get down low enough to turn around and shoot them. If an enemy come from the other side in the same way you're borked and can't do anything about it. Dead-end situations are not interesting.
- The shot sounds gets on your nerve.
- There's no reason to ever not shoot, unless you're annoyed by the sound. There's no risk/reward regarding not shooting. So you might as well just shoot all the time.
- Mouse controls feel unnecessary since you can't aim. Why not use a key?
The art is the best part here! Hope you work on more stuff to make that art really kick gameplay ass :)
- I wish I could shoot in any direction or at least at 45 degrees
- the body parts sometimes fall off the screen instead of piling up
- im not entirely sure what the powerups do
Cool game, the shooting feels nice.
Now what I felt is only "don't block me! I can't reach the enemy!"
I think this can be a more strategy game!
Anyway, this's still a fun game and give me joy when killing enemy, good job!
I don't really have anything to add that other people pointed out, it's a cool and simple game, job well done, with very pleasing graphics and design.
Pieces of enemies littering the ground are great and funny.
I just have two points about the controls:
- Arrows + space is weird, it is necessary to play the fingers very spread out. with space, I would prefer WASD, with arrows, just key up...
- use mouse for a one direction shoot is weird too. A key on the keyboard would have been enough...
Despite this, the music is great and I do enjoyed the graphisms :)
Pros: Nice art and good gameplay idea.
Cons: Slow movement. And it would be cool if you could shoot to more direction, but maybe your intentions were different :)
However, using mouse to aim would've been nicer (An alternative to this would be to use the keyboard to shoot by pressing spacebar or some other key). Also, I felt like the enemies were very few in numbers.
I really loved the fact that it dismember the monsters when you shoot at them !
The music is cool, not too calm, not too speedy, just right, tho as some people mentionned, the gun shots can be a bit annoying at the end, I think they are cool, just tone them done a little and it would do it ! :)
* Aiming with the mouse is more ergonomic instead of only shooting forward (or maybe you did it on purpose to add more difficulty)
* Make the corpses block the bullets and protect the monster
* When I played some monster were just passing below the corpse, would be better if they can't like the player (but maybe it's a bug or it was made on purpose)
The graphics and the music are nice :)
But yeah, the screenshake gets a little bit too much. Same as with the bullet sound.
Please do check out our game and leave us some feedback.
I dont know if it is a bug but sometimes the bodys fell from the ground. Good game overall.
