A short, hectic and challenging shoot em up where you gather souls of your fallen foes. Enemies just keep on spawning and there is no limit to them. It's your job to gather enough souls for the Soul Well before the demon hordes crush you.

There are three short levels, and beating the game will only take 10 minutes or less, if you're able to survive to the end.

Known issues: - Some sounds are randomly much louder. Players beware. I haven't found a reason for this bug yet. - There may be some areas where you can fall out of the level or otherwise run into weird collision issues due to shoddy placement of invisible walls.

No fixes incoming very soon. I've run out of steam.

I like this game. I've nearly played it twice through already.

* First off, it's pretty. You chose a theme and stuck with it.
* Second, the game play is simple to grasp yet satisfying to execute.
* Third, the difficulty ramps up without being overbearing. (Subjective... I'm not usually a very good player, so take my judgment with a grain of salt.)

The enemies on the third level glitched a bit when they started massing, but they were dangerous enough once they got unstuck and came after me. Thank goodness for the AOE mechanic.

I would have liked to see more levels, but the levels you had were fine. To be honest, long games in a game jam can be annoying to judge - though with this one, I don't think I would have minded.

Overall, good job. I noticed your screenshots in the news feed and thought the game looked good. It doesn't disappoint. I wanted a pretty shotgun shooter and that's what you made.

This game is gorgeous!

It looks great. The gameplay is fun, sharp, and satisfying. I really liked it.

I do however think the game would have benefited a lot from a simple "doom-like" soundtrack, because it has that style of gameplay, however of course under the time constraints it would have been hard to pull that off when you work on a game that looks this good. The game was also a little easy, but this is a fix that would be had if the full game came out later!

The base game you built here is really cool and could definitely be expanded upon.

P.s. I did fall off the map on the 3rd world and had no way to get up (but killing all the enemies with mouse2 was a pretty funny experience)

Great job!

This game is very juicy! The main attacking mechanics are very satisfying and all the visual/audio feedback make them a joy to use. I fell off the 2nd level and had to restart, but it was kinda fun exploring the levels (I think I managed to navigate the third level, and eventually an empty space skybox) without being hounded by hordes of enemies.

Great job

The visuals here are stunning, very well done! The sound effects were good too. The feedback and juice in general were well suited and makes this a very well polished entry. I did fine on the first level, as I was able to find a bottle neck area to hole up in. The second level, not so much. I got demolished. I really like how you added the instructions to the game world. Helps those of us who don't read the instructions beforehand.
