Dungeon of Forking Paths: Chapter 41 "Undeground Love" by Listonos

[raw]
made by Listonos for LD 41 (JAM)

Description:

You, a young boy, are searching for love in an unlikely place of retro dungeon crawl. Good news is you know how to crawl. The bad news is that you are terrible at talking to girls.

Info:

Thanks for checking out my game, if you leave a comment I will checkout your game and leave one as well.

A side-note, while I am submitting this for Jam, since I've used a sprite-sheet of the Internet and rules are rules, I've finished in Compo time.

Controls:

Explained in-game but in a nutshell WASD+Space / Left Stick+X

Played on Mac and working fine! For a game with so much text it is a little small however. Would have loved some music and man was some of that brutal but fun writing.

@Cryovr Glad that you have enjoyed it.

@ghost-in-the-toast Thanks, I have come prepared this time.

@guyinred97 Yeah kind of sad but kind of fun as well. Thanks

@Fanttum Thanks for reporting Mac works! No time for music unfortunately.

The integration of dungeon crawling and dating sim is very well done! The humor was really great and it looks like you put a lot of thought into it.

Wow, the writing in this game is surprisingly good!
Unfortunately, the lack of audio prevents me from being completely inmersed into the story, but that doesn't mean that this is not a great game (which it is of course ;))

This game is huuuge. Well done. A shame that you had no time to put some audio in.

Nice work putting together a solid humorous game in time for the compo! From the name of the game, I presumed there'd be more narrative branches, but given the time frame it's understandable that you didn't really go that way. A faster movement speed when holding down the buttons could have also made traveling some of the long corridors easier too.

All in all, a well executed entry!

Whoa, this game has a lot of content for a game jam! The Dungeon Crawler/Dating Sim blend it done well. Great job on the dialogue. Lots of funny moments in this. You can tell a lot of work went into your game.

I played without reading the description nor read the whole game tittle and literally laughed when I realized it was a dating sim.

Good job overall ,I just wish it had audio.

Fun game. I enjoyed the puzzle-y aspect and exploring the dungeon. The narrative was funny and kept me pushing forward. The ending was delightful too. Good work!

Nice and enjoyable experience!

I can see that you've focused your work on creating content for the game, and it worked well (I actually ended up having a long gameplay). Although I missed the sounds and a background music that could have improved the overall setting.

Keep up the good work!
