This game is awsome

I like that you put in a 'view controls' button. A lot of these games have me tabbing out to look at the game page. I think minion manipulation is a great way to use the theme.

Really good application of the theme

Really fun. The collision gets a little wonky at times but still a great job. I'd love to play more of this with the platforming a little more dialed.

(My earlier comment didn't seem to go trough)

I couldn't complete the tutorial, because for some reason, the minion wouldn't want to wait on the second pillar. It would wait anywhere else, but not on the pillar.

@antsa Ah.. I'm sorry to hear that.. The only restriction is that it cannot wait "on top of the player". Maybe that was the case?

@lyrcaxis Oh yea, I was on top of the minion

Aside from the character controllers and hitbox/collision issues, I had a good time! Hope the scripts I sent you help out!! <3 Great job!

Really cool game, enjoyed it a lot! I'm glad you added respawn points mid-level because it would have been super frustrating to die near the end of the last level otherwise :)
The art of the main character kind of reminded me of the "lemmings" characters (from the lemmings game). I wonder - was that intentional or is it just my weird association?

Very good the puzzle, and it suits the theme very well, congratulations, this game seems very promising, adjusting the art a little, the gameplay works well

@matank Thank you fo much for the feedback!
Actually the art wasn't inspired by Lemmings at all, I've never even heared of it before and just looked it up.
But it is a crazy coincidence that that game looks so similar to ours :D

@mindgamezz It's funny Lemmings is actually a game that is super related to the "sacrifices must be made" theme, so when I first saw the title image I thought someone made a game inspired by lemmings (that was my initial idea for the jam). Your game eventually wasn't related at all of course :)

Check out Lemmings if you don't know it, it's a really cool classic game!

Some problems with the collisions, if you used Unity try changing in the Rigidbody component the "Collision Detection" to "Continuous". A good game overall :)

It was good, I liked the idea of switching between units to sacrifice to get further along in the level. The controls were intuitive and the game was engaging. Well done!

At first, I thought - how is this related to the theme - but then the mechanic of sacrificing the minions in order to kill monsters was really clever.

All in all, pretty fun - the buttons were a little bit weird - X and R and Tab? I kept mixing up what I was supposed to do. The other problem I had was that the first time through in the first level, I couldn't see what the button was to recall the minions after I had already told him to wait somewhere else.

I suppose I missed a few instructions... but I figured it out eventually. All in all, fun application of the theme.

I liked the idea of the game and found it very amusing, but I do not think it suits the theme well. but did a good job.

@alysson-moraes I think we nailed the theme but sure it's up to how the player percieves it :) Mind giving me some feedback on it?

Interesting mechanics and funny game. It was very pity to kill a minion. Great job!

Great job. The controls were smooth and simple, the music was nice, and the puzzles were easy to understand. Having the X and R buttons was a little weird at first, but I got used to it by the end. It was annoying that sometimes I couldn't tab to the player until I'd placed a minion, but that's just a minor nitpick

The music and the graphics were cute. However, the controls were awkward and I couldn't even enter the cave.

@sam-reid What do you mean couldn't enter the cave? Sounds game breaking if true

Nice game, simple but challenging. The core mechanic remainds me of "Too Many Mes" with the touch that you can use the death of your minions. Nice job

@viktris actually i only ever heard of lemmings after we had the game out and it's crazy how similar it looks, but actually it was not inspired by it at all :D

Nice concept. You could improve it by making the controlled character more obvious (some colour for example)

Audio is quite good and fitting for the game. Concept is quite interesting, yet as with each platformer I had problems finishing levels.

A lovely little game. Very fitting music and nice art. Found the controls a bot fiddly, but overall a very enjoyable entry.
