Level1.png Instructions.png

Help the piggles get to the goal, but watch out: the more piggles you have, the more likely they are to get piled up!

Click to place food. When a piggle sees food, it will start walking. When it gets to the food, the piggle will stop to eat it and make another piggle. The first piggle will keep going until it hits a wall. Plan your moves to get the piggles into the goal squares on the right.

You can skip the intro screens by pressing Escape.

Update: The piggles apologize for not properly listening to mice. They were even prone to ignore mice. While the piggles are still insatiable in their hunt for food, they now have enough civility to communicate with mice properly. You can now help the piggles to the goal even if you resize the game window! Mouse bug: fixed.

Update: It was inevitable. In their endless quest for food, the piggles have stumbled into the wide world of the Internet. There they continue to look for food to their little piggle hearts' content. The web build is now working.

It's fun to hear they grunt! =) I like puzzle games and this one seems interesting. A little disturbing thing is that the goal is not clear in the very beginning, but when you realize what to do to complete the level, it becomes fun. Nice done!

Pretty good! The audio, sound effects, and music were all very good. The puzzle mechanics were interesting and unique. They really make you think about what would happen. I like that you can easily reset the game without any hassle.

Nice! WebGL worked for me after you uploaded it since the .jar wouldn't run correctly.

I played a fair bit and once I got an understanding of the mechanics I had quite a bit of fun trying to avoid the piggy piles and to wrangle those things into the goal.

The music was nice, and the presentation was great as well.

My only gripes are that I kept accidentally placing the food before the level loaded by impatiently clicking my mouse. My fault, yeah, but could be prevented by not letting food be placed before the splash screen is gone.

Second, it took me a bit to learn that I had to press SPACE to make the game go. Also probably my fault for missing some instructions.

Either way, my gripes are more personal problems, and your game was great but I like to give any constructive feedback that I can!

Hi-5 for a great entry!

@burgee: Oh my; that's definitely not how we designed it! I'm not sure what the issue is (we couldn't reproduce it), but we did get a web build posted [here](http://fractalsunrise.com/games/piggle-puzzle/web/); that may work better for you.

Update: Great; I'm glad it worked. Thanks for the feedback!

This was challenging for me! Cool concept, and I like how well it fit the theme.

I loved the puzzle and graphics! It was very fun and intuitive for me. Great job!
I personally would've liked more if the level transition happened by itself, but it's a great game. I'm just picking on it for a sake of being "constructive". Great job!

I, too, initially placed food without realizing I'd done so, and was stuck for a bit. Worked it out, and all was fine after that. Great sound, great idea for a puzzler, and thank goodness for the reset key. ;)

Really enjoyed it overall. Have a great LD!

I love puzzle games... concept is great and the music and graphics fit very well together...not sure how it fits the theme though.

This was fun! I like these step-advance kinds of games... gives me time to think as I'm normally bad at puzzlers. Cute graphics and oinkers.

Thanks everyone for the great comments! I'm glad people are enjoying our game.

@jeffrey-hwang: We'd have loved to do automatic level transitions, but we didn't have time. Will definitely bear that in mind if we do a post-LD version.

@abilean: The theme connection is "The more piggles in the pen, the worse it is trying to get them to the goal". Some of the levels (*cough* level 9 *cough*) fit the theme better, but it's true that the early levels are less that way. We didn't want to make it too hard while the player is still learning the ins and outs of the mechanics.

I played way more of this game than I set out to. The first puzzle is figuring out the rules of pig spawning and movement. There are some important aspects that are not mentioned in the instructions and aren't intuitive. They are discoverable though. I had to turn the sound off, because it took me a long time and was a little repetitive. The puzzles were good and kept me wanting to play more.

I didn't notice the N button was for proceeeding to the next level until quite a while later kept thinking if I had something I did not complete but when I knew the game was simple and I liked it!

Frankly, I'm stuck on level 3, and since it's titled, "You can't save them" I came back here to make sure you can actually advance beyond level 3. From the comments above, it seems there are at least 9 levels... but I just can't figure out level 3. Level 1 and 2 were easy, but now I keep ending up in a piggle pile! I like the concept. We'll see if I figure this out - back to try again.

Ha, I got it... onward I go... good job... now I'm stuck on level 4... lol... but I intend to play your game again... good work. Impressive. And unique.

I'm still stuck on level 9, but the fact that I've already been trying it very many times tells me that this is a really fun game :)

I like puzzle games that give me time to think, so the fact that I can decide when to do the next step is great!

And those pigs are just sooo cute <3

Also got stuck on level 9. This is a superb puzzle game. And I forewent playing many other games just because I wanted to beat this, and ultimately sleepiness won. I may return to finish this. But i just have to say what amazing mechanics + level design this has! The music was good, but the gap between loops was a little jarring. Maybe try to end the theme on less of a final note but a dominant note/chord that wants to resolve back to the root(beginning of the song).

This is a nice little puzzle game, and it sure feels nice to see more puzzle games around! :) One complaint I have here is the music loop though - since i'm stuck in the same puzzle for a while - it gets pretty repetative. A longer loop would have been nice. Overall, solid entry though.

challenging for me but it's good. Though I spent some time to udnerstand the goal of each level. Stuck in level3. Music and graphic fits it very well.

Nice game! I like puzzle games. :)

In the start, I also had the problem that I already placed food by accident and it seemed like the mouse was not working, but apparently I already placed 2 out of 2 food before the level loaded (Chrome on Windows). Luckily I read @burgee 's comment, which also explained why the pre-placed food was different each time. ;)

I was stuck in level 3 for a while, since I thought that I had to collect all the piggles, so I had to avoid every piggle pile. ;)

I liked the music, although the loop was a bit short, so after a while I enjoyed the Mute button, and then later I turned the music again on for a few loops. :)

Nice little game! I found it hard to figure out *how* pigs reproduce, that is, where new piggles are placed. I liked the level names! ;-) Audio is fitting, graphics are simple but well-done. Instructions were helpful. I didn't really see the theme very reflected in this game.

I would probably have liked a graphical representation of the remaining resources, and an auto-advance to the next level (or a more visible form of feedback when you completed a level).
