Remember your favourite Russian puzzle game in this dungeon and it will go allright.

There is a treasure waiting at the end! And it's not a lie!

Controls:

  • Arrow keys or WASD: Move character
  • Mouse (click and move): Move green blocks

(I ran out of time so I couldn't add more stages, but I hope you enjoy it!)

This was really fun, some clever puzzles - it took me a minute to figure out I could carry tetrinos from one room to another, but in the end I did make it to the treasure at the end! Great job!

Super clever idea!

This is a pretty clever little puzzler. I feel it's a combination of genres more in spirit than in mechanics, I have seen similar puzzlers to this before, but you made a fun game that stumped me at times.

The art is basic but suits the style, as did the music. Though the lead synth got a little shrill at times.

All in all nice work, I hope you get some more ratings!

That's a good sign if it feels too short when you finish it. I wanted more. Good take on the theme. It's easy to imagine what you could do with more time.
Good work !

Nice game! I'm surprised at how well this blend works. The puzzles were challenging, but solvable and the graphics were really nice. The music was nice as well, but as stated, a little too high at times. Overall, great effort!

I really liked the puzzle designs in this game.

That's a nice little puzzler. I found one viable solution that was disallowed for some reason, which caused me a bit of confusion, but once I got past that I really got into it. I would have liked to see more levels and more challenging puzzles, but what is there is well executed. Good job!

Great idea. So much potential with this mechanics. I didn't realize I could use blocks from previous levels at first though. SFX and visuals have this retro vibe, I love it. Reminds me of Prince of Persia for some reason. Well done!

I can't get past the second set of rooms even though I've got a solution that should work. If the solution I've got isn't the right one, I can't imagine what the right one is. Is it possible to rotate the tetraminos?

@ViridianGames Hi, I'm afraid that for the second set of rooms you need to ignore the middle line, since it is trapped into other two and it is not fully working. You will need to remove the upper and the lower ones, and the one above them all, with the two pieces that are available.

Maybe the picture can help: the middle line cannot be removed due to a bug.

EDIT: Actually, I updated the WebGL version with that bug fixed. I hope that solves your problem :)

Really interesting take on tetris. I enjoyed the puzzle aspect of this, and trying to figure out how to make use of the remaining pieces of a block after using it once. My only complaint was that it was too short.

I enjoyed this so much! Wish there were more stages but that was absolutely good for the demo. The music fits the game good and the graphics is simple but looks just fine. I like puzzle games in general and I liked this one as well. You did a great job!

P.S. Also, imo, maybe a move mechanic which moves player square by square would fit the game more than constant movement, just my thought:)

Just my kind of games! Check mine to see I'm not kidding ;)
I lost some time as, for no reason, I believed you had to drop green pieces from one room to another, and got blocked in one level. Until I understood you just have to click on a piece to keep it from room to room, no need to drop it. Sure I'd enjoy some more levels, but I got same pb, not enough time left! Anyway, really liked your game. Simple and clever use of the theme with nice game mechanic, and neat music too.

I enjoyed this a lot. It played to its own strengths, like making the player realize how they can utilize a block from a different room. Puzzles weren't too simple, but not insanely complex either - that nice middle ground. Fantastic.

The gameplay was clever. I had fun solving the levels' puzzles -- their complexity became apparent after I noticed I could use leftover blocks and had to be more strategic in destroy rows of grey ones. Not too difficult yet not too simple. Really enjoyed it!

Great mix! The dungeon exploration + tetris theme fit really well. The puzzles were pretty well done as they didn't feel like a chore or were too difficult.
The only issue would be the stage 2 bug which looks like you fixed in the webgl version.
Really liked the music and graphics too :)

Great game! Feels pretty solid and fun to play. I wish you had more time to make some harder levels. I found a bug, if I place my cursor perfectly in a line of the grid while carrying a block, it will mess up it's position.

@el-pepi Thanks! Nice catch! Truth is I found that bug right when I uploaded it, it's barely a pixel but I haven't fixed it yet. It will probably be more complex than it seems :D

Wow! The combination between the two genres is really good. I'll play a full version of this game without hesitation. Love the fact you can pickup block from the neighbors room. Great entry here who needs more visibility. Great job! :D

Here is the translation of what I said in the video :) https://youtu.be/mo-pUdQ3lKc?t=147

"Legend of Block borrows its visual from the world of Zelda but its gameplay is inspired by the game Tetris. You play as a little magician who has the ability to move blocks by telekinesis, when it completes a horizontal or vertical line, it disappears allowing you to clear your way through the various rooms of the dungeon.

It's much more of thinking than reflexes that you will be asked, each room is a small puzzle. No worries, it is impossible to get stuck because there is always a teleporter nearby allowing you to put everything back in place in case of unforgivable mistake.

If mouse controls are a bit imprecise from time to time, the layout is pretty clear and won’t disappoint the fans of Nintendo Nes even if we must admit that the music is a little garish and not very inspired. Unfortunately this title is very short, less than five minutes to complete, but its concept is really nice and the game probably deserves an extended version!"

I can't rate the game as I'm not a participant, but congratulations :)

@Satanos Thank you for your review and the translation! Thing is, the music is from a random composer tool from the internet, but even so, I could not do it better :D

Oh this was great! I really liked the puzzles. It took me a while to figure them out, but the game does a very good job of subtly hinting at the solution. I made it all the way to the end and wanted more. Please develop this more!

[My game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/invadtris/) also mashes up Tetris with another game, so if you like Tetris (and who doesn't) try mine out.
