Loot calls from the bottom of the sea

You're a viking ... looting and pilfering at the bottom of the sea! Why? Doesn't matter, just get cracking!

Ugly fishy monsters will try to stop you, but a good smack from your axe should solve that problem. Grab the gold and get out - leave nothing behind.

How to Play

  • Move with the WASD or arrow keys.
  • Left-click to attack with your axe.
  • Right-click to throw gold. This costs gold!

  • Gather as much gold as you can. But beware: carrying all that gold makes you slow.

  • Greed must be managed -- sacrifices must be made.
  • Gold is your health, score, a weapon, and a burden. Manage it well - run out and you lose.
  • There are four levels in total, each building upon the previous.

Too bad that there is no Mac version to play it. I would love to try it out.

I had a lot of fun with this one. I like the Gauntlet style gameplay. Was easy at first but quickly became quite challenging later on.

Damn, this game had me crawling on the floor, scrounging for every last gold coin. It was highly addictive, so much so that I played through the entire game. I managed to score a total of 22430- I have no idea if that is good or not, but I was really impressed and enjoyed myself.
The graphics were nice, I found the visual effect of the spikes, especially the 'warning' flash to be really innovative.
In the first few levels the 'sacrifice' part of the game, with the gold coins, felt a bit off, but it definitely becomes useful later on.
The small step forward when swinging the axe felt really good, and the controls were easy to get used to.
Finally the level design was very good. Very good job guys!

This was a fun game that I really enjoyed. The graphics were awesome, there was a good amount of content and the mechanics felt good. I thought that the first 2 levels might have been a bit to easy but then the difficulty bumped up on 3 and 4. I experienced a bug were my axe disappeared for a while on level 3 or 4 (not sure).

Very nice/ I like it how gold serves so many purposes in your game! I found myself in a state where I couldn't use my axe anymore, wonder if that's a bug? This game is hard though!

Pretty fun! Controls we're smooth. I would add a couple things like a navmesh for your enemies, but other than that, great job to ya'll!

I was surprised how much content was in the game, and it was pretty alright! To be fair, I think my love of dungeon crawlers in general kinda skews my opinion a bit, but I played it all the way through. While the graphics are admittedly mostly nothing to write home about, that shader on the escape portals is wacky as hell, really like it.

I will say, there are probably too many enemies for someone to genuinely make it through without losing gold... so it's more about mitigating losses and my brain is kinda ocd on that, so I'm trying not to lose a single drop of gold and that's not really feasible. So that was kinda frustrating, but that's more on me.

That was really fun. The game seemed well polished and well balanced for a weekend and I love the animations and SFX. Two issues I encountered were enemies climbing/glitching over walls and my score for levels 3 and 4 was not counted in the end screen. Levels 1 and 2 showed correctly, maybe its because I died in Level 3 once? I suppose being able to hit enemies through barricades is intentional?

It was fun! I really like how wielding the axe felt! I also found the difficulty well balanced. Sadly, while throwing gold seems really powerfull, there weren't enough feedback showing it.
But Overall, the game was good and enjoyable :) Well done!

pretty good game! sacrificing gold was a meaningful decision and the mechancis were really cool.
i think my favorite part was at the end of the first level when half my screen was covered in coins and my bag was really big. really made you feel like you were encumbered by all the gold you were carrying; that effect was weigh more effective than just having a number counter or saying "encumbered" on the screen like in Skyrim XD

didnt complete it because the mobs got too hard for me, but the bit i did play was engaging and fun!

In second levels mobs are getting pretty hard, but overall the game is really neat! The controls are great, sound and graphics make really nice atmosphere!

Very enjoyable :) Got to the third level.

I like the additional details, such as your bag and UI getting bigger as you get more gold. There's a lot of content for a gamejam game IMO. The mechanics interact in interesting ways, as you can lure enemies on spikes or block them off by raising walls and then killing them while remaining unreachable yourself.

The only bug I noticed was that enemies could manage to pass through walls if you give them enough time. I also never felt the need to use the coin throwing mechanic. Still, one of my favorite games so far.

Maybe a weight sacrifice might be interesting for increasing the difficulity for good players and if you had more time I would also consider thinking about more kind of enemies for other games. Good try 😁, here is my score, try to get better than that

Very great concept, throwing gold. however, the game is too easy to sacrifice your gold.
also, there's no need to save your gold. maybe adding a store to use it or a skill tree etc might make it better

Nice game, I really liked the axe combat and the idea of shooting gold. I wasn't a fan of the enemy artwork, and I thought it was lacking music, but still a pretty decent game overall. Good amount of content and used the theme well.

Great execution on your idea. Took until the second level to notice that coins were also life, up to then was wondering what the benefit of having coins was besides being able to shoot them. Speaking of which, the damage and effect radius of the coin shot makes it very tempting to use frequently. Graphics, camera angle, and the exterior environment make for a really nice atmosphere. The blood splatter especially looks very nice, the light hits it well, assuming there's some really good normal maps on those.
