You are a single parent. You live in a Motel. You have two kids. You have three part time jobs. You are worth nothing, right?

In The Circle you have to manage the life of a single parent for one week. Gain enough money to pay rent, food and still find some time for your kids between your jobs.

Lose Conditions: - You get evicted for not paying rent. - You don't take care of yourself. - Your kids are taken from you as a consequence of neglect.

Win Conditions: - Can you win in a life like that? I guess winning means not losing... Not like anyone would care anyways.

We have... something :D For this jam we decided to do art first, since we had to start coding with a huge delay.
So I just sat down this morning untill noon and scribbled a few things. Now we're moving on to the actual code an all the math :'( SO MANY NUMBERS AAAAAAAH

Great relation to the theme and the gameplay works well!
Because of the "bling" sound it feels like I'm earning a lot of money, which I am not, so changing this would improve the mood I guess. Also, unfortunately some parts of my screen are cropped off, so I can't see the whole interface of the family screen.

@yazara just woke up and saw your feedback. Since we both have big desktop monitors we didn't think about the game being played on smaller screens (*facepalm*) you are earning money, but the counter is probably cut off because the screen won't adjust.... we will fix that now ^^° thanks so much for playing and making us aware!

Cool take on the theme and awesome graphic design! It was a bit weird at times when I didn't get any feedback on negative consequences of my actions that "went wrong". Like, ok, it didn't go too well but what exactly happened if I gave the diabetic his soda? Did he die on the spot? :D
