[Web] Stealth Dance! by Linver

:arrow_forward: Play at Web here!
You are disco guy in a dance club and your best moves always attract attention. You know you can dance like a beast on the very top dance floor, but to reach it you have to go past Dance Police.
Dance Police watches for people to dance in a proper fashion with attention to music and boy do they love their job!
To avoid Dance Police and shine on the V.I.P. floor you need to keep low profile and dance like every other average person in the house!
📘 Help
The character will go to your mouse position automatically.
There are different types of floor. You should dance in the same style as a floor color under your legs. You can rhythmically click with different speed to dance in "yellow" or "red" styles while "green" style is the default style.
Avoid Dance police and their "blue" floor, because they can easily reveal your character.

🍄 Updated!
I changed the text hint at level 2 because a lot of players had problems with understanding how red dance works. You can find detailed changes at commentaries section.

I just wish you have more. It feels like you can go deeper into this idea.
Would be great to be able to move a little faster, but otherwise it's a great entry.
I think the controls are not very intuitive or ergonomic, and you have no idea if the rythm and movespeed. It's a pain to move around, specially with the floor changing colors so much.
You guys got some pretty good everything - even the level design is awesome. But the game is hurt too much from the controls. You could have gone simple with a "on rails" style that you only have to go forward/backwards while keeping the rythm, or you could add some use for the keyboard (be ir movement or rythm). This would not only benefit the game as a whole, but add another layer of challenge from the coordination between 2 hands doing separate things.
Good job!
I had some problems with the controls, at lvl 2 the character also got stuck in a corner and wasn't able to move.
So some other controls I also think would benefit the game.
Nice work guys!

Before anything, I have to ask. Does this game have audio? I played the HTML version and didn't hear a thing, which is weird for a rhythm based game. If not, it's a shame, since it could have been fantastic.
Anyhow, the game itself is extremely impressive. Great visuals, and I really dig the idea of making a Stealth game using the flashiest mechanics and concept possible. This is the kind of things that make the LD so interesting. Heck, I'm willing to call it the best combination I've seen so far, since these are the least compatible concepts I could have thought of. It's ludicrous and excellent.
The mechanics are a bit weird and hard to get used to, and the character can feel a bit sluggish, but still, this is very fun. There's a lot of expansion that can be done to it, so here's hoping that there's more Stealth Dance in the future, or something of this caliber.
Great work again. [My team](twitter.com/whalesandgames) would like to congratulate you again on such a fantastic entry. Keep up the good work! :whale:
The game of @littlestone-games is commented by me just a moment ago. Next games are in progress.
@moski - There are 4 soundtracks and we worked hardly to mix them nicely. I and my friends have a small lag before music start playing (about 2 seconds), but it did not broke the game before this moment. I think that we should try another way of music compression and loading.

If you add said thing if it's available, it should work best, at least, according to what I understood.
@tayfun thank you for a try to help!
Done: @poio, Next "In danger" games in a queue: tgiant, tayfun, Other next games in a queue: moski, angela-he
@angela-he, @moski You are cool ludumers to know and looking for good moves to repeat and learn :D
I really like pretty much all of it, but here are the two things you could improve (in my opinion):
- One time I got stuck to a wall in level 2, that should be relatively easy to fix.
- It wasn't really clear to me what to do in the boss fight at first (maybe add a hint that we should just completely avoid the boss-tiles and that's it).
@niterich Yes, I like very much your ideas about improving clicks feedback! Probably, I should learn English more before trying to write jokes
I loved the different colours to represent how heavy your dancing is - It didn't take long to learn, it was organic how to play once I got stuck in! :v:
As a small touch, maybe have the dancers around you look at you funny when you're not doing the correct dance - The bar at the top was enough for me but it's another layer of polish that would look great!
Honestly hard to nit-pick, this is a fantastic entry and I had great fun playing! :yum:
