Nice little simple game and the controls are easy to master.

Nice game and cute characters! I found the controls a bit awkward, but that may just be me. The sounds and music are a little bit repetetive, but other than that they fit the game well. Good job :)

I liked it. Seems like the best strategy is just running into the enemies.

Mostly I killed myself from walking down and shooting up when I meant to shoot down and walk up! But it's a super fun, super simple game!

Nice game! The graphics are a little all over the place (try desaturating unimportant objects such as props and the background), the sound is alright, and the controls are a little awkward, but I know some games use this scheme so maybe that's just my preference. I really love the mechanic though! It's an interesting challenge to fight and also be killing yourself :P Great use of the theme!

Nice simple game. The controls are a bit awkward but that can feel good sometimes. I think I noticed that the battery doesn't recharge when you absorb the other batteries though. Not sure if that was just a glitch or I'm playing wrong.

@krp the battery does not recharge to the full it just adds one point to the ammo of the pistol (so also to the battery)

Nice work, I think flipping the character sprite when you walk left would have made him feel more alive, also the bullets spawning in the character broke the illusion a bit.

I agree with @coomzy about turning the sprite as would have been nice to have. Twin stick games using pc are not always super fun but enjoyed this :)

Fun to play! Watch out, I can shoot a lot of bullets and lose before reading the story xD

Cute little game, with interesting controls!

Using your life as ammo was an interesting idea as well. But perhaps the shots should take a little less energy. I killed myself more by shooting the monsters, than by being hit by the monsters :-)

Other than that, it was a fun game!

Good job on the game! The controls are a little confusing to me, prefer the mouse to aim and WASD to move. Other than that, good graphics, sound effects and gameplay. Congrats!

Good game with a cute retro aesthetic. Nice simple game in which the controls are a bit awkward. However, it works. I noticed some bugs, but I assume that with more time you could improve this project. I have fun playing. Thumbs up ++

Fun little game, liked the graphics. It could have used a few more mechanics however, and it would have been nice if the intro text didn't play every time you restart.

Good game. Nice idea of making the power your ammo. It makes the gameplay harder. I think that the menu music is kinda repetitive, so try and make it have more variety. Noice!

Hey nice job! I dig the pixel art characters! I didn't realize that my shots were draining the battery until I read the comments - now my deaths make a lot more sense. Maybe making the battery bar longer could help so you can see how shots drain energy from it. I found the sound effects kind of unpleasant, especially the battery pickup sound - it's a bit piercing.

Nice game. I think this would make a great 2-stick controller game since the key combinations always gave me a problem. Nice pixel art.

Cute art style. Game play was simple but well implemented. Would have liked a bit more changes in gameplay, e.g. different enemy behaviour. But great game nonetheless!

Good one, the camera shake and sound effects makes it very engaging. I just found out in the comments that shotting reduces energy XD

Nice. Cool entry. I'm not the biggest twin-stick shooter aficionado, but like all of the little details here like the screen shake and audio. Great work for 48 hours!

Thank you, I had a good time playing this entry! I like the cute little story and the mood that go with it, the toy-laser sound, and the simple yet dynamical gameplay. As a (little) minus, I find that the wave incoming is sometimes bad located, as one (or even several) monster appears so close to the robot that avoiding it is almost impossible. Good job anyways!

Nice arcadey gameplay, I just wish the controls were swapped, I'm used to using WASD to move and arrows to shoot (like Binding of Isaac). Clean, crisp pixel art and effects. Great job!

It's a simple and fun game! I love your art style, those characters are cute! I wonder why you don't put the walk animate on the main character but you put it on the monster! The only difference between their leg is only color! You made great animation but you didn't put it on the most important place! Also, I found that I can press space to revive (kind of) my robot after I lose!:joy: Maybe you should just load another scene after player lose.

Anyway, It's still a good game!

It is necessary to separate the background from the characters. Now they are read as equivalent objects.

Nice one. I died because an enemy spawned just on me, which is a bit rough. Other than that, solid mechanics and graphics.

Fun and simple game! Nice art and music, and a good concept with the waves :) I just felt that the monsters spwaned really close to the player, not giving much space to evade them. But other than that it was a fun game, good job ;)

The game mechanics are fun, simple and challenging and the controls are easy. The art style is nice and the audio is good (except the menu music, it was killing me). I really enjoyed playing this game.

This was so great. I loved the dual control system, and the creepy little toys coming after me.
It was smooth to move around, and it's great that you got sound in there. Nicely done!

It would have been nice for a little variety in the firing sound. And an indication of being hit. It was a blind guess to know when something was going to die or not.

Very playable and well presented game. Somehow I could never keep my battery up, not even after I discovered it's possible to shoot two enemies at once. I found that a bit unsatisfying. It would be nice to have more variety, more enemy types or even different backgrounds.

Got to wave 15. Didn't check my kills but it would be something like ~60 I think.

The game was fun if a bit simple. Graphics were well done and the sound effects were okay. The game really could have used some music. If you are bad at music, like me, I would recommend http://beepbox.co for your next jam, as you can make something decent sounding within a small amount of time.

I liked how you had different kinds of enemies, but they really all felt the same. I think if their behavior was more distinct it could have added a lot of flavor to the game. The default behavior was good, though a bit odd that they really slowed down the closer they were to you. Getting different rewards for killing different types of enemies would be nice as well, even if it was just a bit more charge from the bigger guys.

Overall I liked the game. It was a pleasure playing it!

Cute little twin-stick, though usually WASD is used for movement so maybe you should've set the arrow keys to shoot. Seems like a game that could've benefitted from gamepad support as well.

Wave 20, Kills 86!

This is a nice little shooter, the sound effects and graphics are basic but they fit together well. I like the pixelated graphics style.

The game play is simple and quite addictive.

Overall a solid game jam entry, good job!

Cute sprites. I like the smash TV style waves. The screen shake really bothered me, maybe its the static itch.io page background matching the game background throwing me off >_<.

Great game, great gameplay. Not much constructive to give - with further development I'd like to see powerups and stuff like that. Enjoyed it! Got 50-60 kills, more than that got real tough!
