Hi their adventurer, will you stay and listen to my story? It is an inspiring tale and also a sad one, but thanks to the people and EastArea team it was preserved for future generations. This tale is called The Hero Code, yes the same code that heroes of our days still hold so dear. In ancient times, a group of heroes traversed the deepest of the dungeons to slay the horrible Goose Hydra and free the world from its grasp! But on their way, they needed to present a sacrifice, horrible at that but the one that Hero Code value the most. So take a seat and hear my words, this tale starts from this words… 3.jpg And now some words from old boring us, not from the handsome storyteller from before. Hello and welcome to our take on Sacrifices must be made Theme of this Ludum Dere. We hope you will like it and of course, all kind of feedback is appreciated! 1.jpg Because we used 3rd party assets for graphics and sounds we withdraw from participating in Graphics and Audio categories For Visual components, you see on the screen big thanks to 0x72 here is the link to his dungeon Tileset and wonderful characters with animations! (https://0x72.itch.io/dungeontileset-ii) Also for every sound in a game was downloaded from freesound.org kudos to all the authors on that platform as well. 2.jpg Our team (EastArea) hold in its ranks such people as Dzmitry Pukhouski – Producer Dzmitry Kozlov – Main Programmer (real magician here) Pavel Zhecko – Programmer (second real magician) Sergey Lisitskiy – Game Designer (and epic at that) Olga Veraksich – Lead artist (without her wonders all of this would look like two dots fighting each other) And of course, Good Luck to everyone participating! About the controls use your mouse to perform actions and WASD keys to move and 1 2 3 keys to change formation (also spare some time to look and what game is saying to you).

I like the idee behind the game. The Graphics are simple and pixelperfect. The Gameplay is good to handle, but I scare by the fight sound. Good Work!

Quite an impressive game, with nice graphics and sound effects. I am not really into turn based combat, so perhaps this wasn't the ideal game for me, but nevertheless I enjoyed it, because it wasn't overly complicated.
The sacrifice part I find a bit lacking though, since I don't really know my heroes, so sacrificing them wasn't really an issue.
Great job with the combat mechanics and the art!

I'm not entirely sure what purpose the formations served, nor what the different 'skills' of the main character did. The combat was also way too mindless. Focus all attacks on a single enemy to reduce incoming damage as quick as possible, then heal any injured party members.
I feel as if more time should've been spent on adding some more depth to the combat. If the different characters had any stat variations other than "this one heals and this one attacks", then I was completely unaware of it.

The mood of the game was pretty nice though, good use of music, graphics, and incorporating them along with the theme into your game.
