Some things noticed that may help you to improve:
* black text over dark background isn't best idea try using text with contrasting outline
* pixelart is best served sharp scaling up images should use nearest neighbor algorithm to stay sharp

It feels like the main thing that was sacrificed was the gameplay ! :D The art is good though. :)
