A rather dynamic game! I like the idea of having to buy boosts for your environment as you play!
However i'd recommend you make it so that spikes can't spawn directly on the player as that happened a couple of times and also the game crashed quite a lot for some reason.
For the attempts that did not crash though, i think you have made a solid game!

Precise Controls, clear descriptions in the shop made it easy to get into.
Had some crashes too.

Using a french keyboard with ZQSD instead of WASD makes the game really har to play, but i'm kind of used to it now.

The game is clean, jumps are precise so that's cool. Maybe too simplistic, but hey that's a compo so good job!

Nice game. Clean and smooth game play. GJ. I kind of like and hate the simple graphics at the same time. :D

Well executed idea! A liked having to enter the shop in-game to keep it going. This could go make a really nice game with some graphical and audio improvements. Well done!

The hearts are fitting, because I love this game. It may have a pretty basic art stile and not be the most inventive of games, but what it lacks in graphics and innovation, it makes up for in game play. (and even then, the environmental upgrades were still fairly innovative) The platforming was smooth and it felt great to navigate through a field of spikes. (although spike placement was a bit unfair at times) I did wish there was a way to upgrade how much individual hearts are worth, because the way things are, you can't really get past a certain high score, it's kinda capped at a point, since you can't collect enough hearts to keep up with the timer. I will also mention that the game crashed at one point for an unknown reason. Even with these few flaws, it was still a super addicting and enjoyable experience that I couldn't stop until I beat your high score of 96. Overall, well done! A solid 4 stars from me.![HeartRush103.png](///raw/3eb/b1/z/24967.png)

The gameplay was actually pretty engaging. The controls feel really smooth, which is always a nice thing for the player! This was a simple yet fun game to play. Good work!

I really liked this simplicity of the gameplay and the upgrade system. Though it was simple, this was really fun! I had a couple pretty solid runs going, but the best score I actually saw was 32. My longer runs I ran into crashes multiple times :(

Here's an example in case it helps:

```
___________________________________________
############################################################################################
FATAL ERROR in
action number 1
of Step Event0
for object oHandler:
Variable <unknown_object>.y(1, -2147483648) not set before reading it.
at gml_Object_oHandler_Step_0
############################################################################################
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
gml_Object_oHandler_Step_0 (line -1)
```

I'm not sure I've ever quite played something like this, and the theme was executed pretty well. Nice entry!

ps: If you need more crash info from me, let me know with a ping! I didn't pinpoint anything I did in the game that triggered the problem; it just seemed like it would crash randomly. (Maybe when it was spawning hearts or spikes?)

As other have said, this game is very simple but also quite fun. The controls were solid and the concepts were well represented, leaving nothing to stand in the way of enjoying the core concept.

Highscore exactly 100! (that is not a factorial)

This is a really addicting little game. Simply graphics and sound but the game play is just great. At first it looked a bit dull, until I realized there was a pause menu where you could buy stuff :-)

Great job! Keep up the good work :-)
