MULT by AlexHoratio

[raw]
made by AlexHoratio for LD 42 (COMPO)

My submission for Ludum Dare 42! Use WASD or the arrow keys to move, and the left mouse button or the spacebar to shoot. Good luck!

Also, this game is a prequel to my larger-scale game project, WARP-TEK!

NOTE ABOUT THE HTML5 FREEZING BUG:

I really don't know why this happens, but sometimes and for some people it does happen. If you're one of those lucky people, you can download the executable version or just hit F5 and hope it doesn't happen again. Good luck!!

This game is really hard but if you die enough there is a cheat button. Was a lot of fun and looked really good!

Hey, it's Mult! That joke I've been hearing about..?
The game was pretty fun, and the cheat button was handy (only used it once tho, wanted to beat the game properly.) I feel like you pulled off my idea better than I did, so, uh, good job!

As a note to anyone else having this issue, right after spawning the screen glitches out for about a second and I die. This happens in chrome reliably. I switched to Firefox and the game plays as expected. Hopefully it's just my machine.

Ah, shmups. My wheelhouse. I love the art style you've gone for here. It's simple, but executed very consistently and thoughtfully. The sound effects fit well, and really the whole package just works. Enemy spawn patterns could be a bit smarter, but for the big chunky art style you've chosen, scripted bullets might be a bit over the top.

Nice work!

Fun game and the music is quite nice. I'd like to be able to restart by hitting space instead of reaching for my mouse and clicking the button :stuck_out_tongue:

Pretty fun game! I definitely agree with @my-sweet-whomp that being able to slap restart with space bar and get right back into it would be a huge, cheap quality of life fix. Pretty fun and tough, and it gets the *feel* pretty nice :) Good work!

I'm not fond of this kind of game but I had a few minutes of fun. Consistent style, really good audio, good game feel, maybe a bit too much screenshake :D and, of course, quite hard. I never got past 51%.
Overall, really good work for a Compo.
Also, if you wanna play the game of a fellow godoter, feel free to check mine.
That's top notch marketing right there...

Lovely little game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 42 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/8T98Y6n8oZk

The effects are very very satisfying, makes me wanna continue playing ... the music though not so much and after a while it get a bit annoying.

Awesome game, things get really intense after you reach 50%! I just had to keep playing until the end @_@
Loved the art style but the music annoyed me after a while. I just felt that the theme got pretty bypassed, specially if you consider the option to continue onwards at the end.

Nice game, finally another game made with godot ;)
We had the same issues exporting our game to html5 so we just rolled with windows, linux and mac version :/

Fun entry. It feels very well rounded all in all. The screen shake is a bit too intense for my taste, but the satisfying electrical discharges more than made up for it.

Neat graphics and good game feel! The "music" in the beginning was incredibly grating but the track on the main level was pretty good. Had some fun with it, well done!

Everything in this game is really good! Not much for replayability, though, so being able to see both endings without repeating the process is really welcome
