I love the graphics ! The lighting looks really nice too. It definitely suits the theme! Only thing I would change is the UI font, but it's very minor.

I think the art looks nice, and it fits the theme with upgrades making the enemies spawn faster. TBH, I don't think it was enough of a detriment to make it actually feel worse though. My main gripe is that I felt it wasn't challenging enough, but it's minor considering the circumstances. Good job overall.

Solid, and cool game. But why use WASD for movements when you don't need to use the mouse? You should be able to move with the arrow keys instead

Cool aesthetics with the particle effects! Moving around felt a bit weird and I just ended up staying still and rotating around, the game could use a bit more depth on that part (different enemy types, boss, more variance to weapon upgrades, more collectibles, give the player a reason to move away). Nice mood!

The graphics and the art are really nice. But it's kind of...too easy? :)

Great little game all together.

I really loved the low poly colorful art! Physics was also nice and shooting down asteroids felt very good! Must protect the sun! I felt it was challenging at later levels, but in the good way. Great job guys!

Very addicting and great graphics! I wish the game was a bit faster paced though

The particle graphics were very nice, and the music was fine. This is a clever way to fulfill the theme, and it works well. The game was fun to play, but I don't feel like the difficulty peaked high enough. Once I had 4 lasers, there was little incentive to move, and I found it easier just to rotate idly near my sun. Perhaps if your lasers couldn't go through the sun, then the player would have to move around more. Overall, I enjoyed it, well made.

I like the idea of the planet growing in size; however the player is able to shoot through the planet resulting in me playing as a stationary turret. Also there's no enemy that is forcing me to dodge and move, which makes the game way too easy and static. The music is, frankly, not fitting the game but for such a short amount of time the total package was pretty well done.

Man, particle effects and post-processing always catch my eye. Good use of simple graphics with some nice eye candy along the way. Gameplay was alright, although being able to shoot through the sun felt very weird (especially since the player bounced off of it). I liked the gun collection mechanic - I DEFINITELY felt more powerful as I collected those. Nice work.

Really nice space shooter. All the effects made the game so much better. I think a point with your mouse and shoot would be better and some obstacles like asteroids would make the game play a lot more interesting. Nice entry.

Looks great, but no real reason to move once you have all the upgrades. You can just sit there and spin in one place to turret everything. I don't think you should be able to shoot through the sun and maybe have an easier way to move around.

Awesome! Once I had got a decent grip on the controls and realised there's no reason to stop firing, this got really fun! Would've been a little better with more variants of enemies and upgrades but even so, it is a cool take on the theme. I think I found a bug too, on the first round of playing you get upgrades really quick, but after a few deaths, they don't appear very often or just stop appearing altogether. The music got a little repetitive after a while too, but the first few listens I did enjoy it.

Great job :grinning:

This kept me entertained longer than I care to admit. I like how simple the graphics are. Once you get to a certain point though, there really isn't any incentive to move, since you can just spin in circles and kill everything. It might help if the player's shots couldn't go through the star, or if the enemies spawned further away. Overall, its very simple but what's there is pretty good.

I really loved your game :) The aesthetics were beautiful and the music so moving put together they made a great mood. The idea is innovative too and I find myself thinking of how you can expand it into a narrative story with multiple levels.

One of the best three games I played this Ludum Dare. Congratulations :)

The controls would probably be better if I could use both hands. Fun shooter. The glowy particle effects and weapon upgrades are cool.
