Build your citizens a grand paradise free from pollution, or will you?

This game challenges you to build a sustainable city in a small world in the midst of the skies. How many citizens can you make happy in your city? Will you let them survive or get them poisoned? Will you build forests to combat climate change or let it rain down ashes? It's all up to you!

The game is pretty interesting. Love the art style. It's very cohesive and clear. The gameplay, while simple, has a lot of room for development, as other than maintaining a high ":)" rating and population, there is little to do after a few minutes of play.
I just don't get one thing:
"build forests to combat climate change"
Haven't seen any such effect. It seems you have a missing feature.
Oh and the music gets... a bit tedious after a while.

Nice little game! The short tutorial and the radial menu make it really easy to figure out how to play. You've got a really nice visual aesthetic going, too. I'm not sure why @shodanon above wasn't getting the climate fighting effect from the trees - it was working for me. I like how the trees fought the change over time, rather than immediately, as that's more realistic than if the trees fixed things instantaneously.

I do agree with @shodanon in that the music had me a bit on-edge after a while. It's possible you may be better off with ambient sounds. Maybe birds twittering and soft gusts of wind when you're doing well, and the chug of industry and coughing when you aren't. Only other suggestion is I would make it so that once you have the radial menu up, your cursor doesn't put an "active" border around a new spot until you've dismissed the radial menu. At first I was a little worried that the structure I chose would end up in the wrong spot if my mouse hovered over a different spot during structure selection.

Very interesting indeed. Neat ideas in this entry, but needs some more balance for sure - it ultimately became frustrating to deal with the ever recurring pollution, the repetitive music did not help with the feeling of frustration :). I guess people like farms the most? But I could never get my overall happiness stat up that high. I feel it could become a pretty interesting game with some more polish and some "shielding" mechanics for pollution.

I played this on stream at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141022066 - Time 1:52:40

Thank you @lederhosen, @sgstair. I'll be watching your stream later @sgstair.

@sgstair & @shodanon: The forest also clean the neighbouring tiles from pollution. If you find the correct pattern you barely have to switch out. Farms do little pollution, but you're able to keep an industry tile clean too, with a few neighbouring forests.

City skylines in the.. sky.. :) Lovely graphics but I wish I could turn off the music since it gets a bit to repetitive after a while.

Nice work with the little dial menu to select the things to place out.

Nice game, which looks very good. It was intuitive what I should do, but sometimes it was also a bit to easy. And I thought that the music was a bit annoying, but that is not this important. Good job

Really cool game. there were others quite similar, but this one was the best one I played so far. Nice graphics, cool features, like the soil. Yet still after some time it became a spam game for me, but that might be just because this is not really my type of game and I would need something really unique to keep me playing.
But as I said, really good game! Great job

Very nice looking game. And a great UI as well, very easy to understand how to place buildings.

It could be a bit more clear how the mechanics of the game work. I don't know if I really got what the goal was without reading the comments.

Beautifully crafted. Congratulations! I loved the menu for building and the palette you chose for the game. The gameplay works, although you run out of game very quickly. Anyway, great job on overall aesthetics and implementing the game mechanic. It's flawless. What I didn't like is that although the musical piece you used worked in terms of style, the loop felt unfinished (too short and always tense).

I like the graphics and the general idea of the game. Some progression and maybe more transparency on what different buildings do would be nice. But I do like it, survived through many spooky killer clouds until I just closed the tab. Good entry!

Really nice art style, would have liked the music loop to have been longer.

The art style is a 100 but pity you can only vote upto a max of 5. The art is almost mesmerizing.

"Citizens need work to be happy" ... a very bold statement! :D

Loved the graphics and the atmosphere! Very well done!

However, I was not quite sure how the mechanics of the game worked. Why do some houses make pollution and others not? What happens if I don't build enough factories? What exactly is the goal of the game?

But overall, this game has quite a lot of potential!

Very impressive for 48 hours. I liked that you included a tutorial, always a nice touch, especially for more complex games like this one. If there's one thing I could see improving, it's the info on the buildings. It isn't completely clear what each one does, and what the advantages and disadvantages of each one is.
