This is an easy to pick up and a fun little game!

Some things that I think would be cool to if you want to take it further:
- Some kind of "trail" behind the ship to give a sense of movement.
- More enemy variety. Perhaps some enemies firing mortars, rather that all firing "shells"?
- Additional weapons/pickups such as mines would be cool.

I like the vibrant cartoony style. I thought the models were well designed and gave a nice hint of civilization without clutter - such as the runway and tower as an airport.

Simple learning curve and immediately intuitive gameplay. If there were some extra powerups to spice up the gameplay I think it would have gone down a bit smoother. Competent game!

Pretty and challenging game. The controls and the camera work perfectly and the gameplay is really smooth and easy to learn. Anyway I think it is really hard because there are too many enemies together and their range and fire ratio are excessively highs. With some way to heal yourself, some powerups as the previous comments say and some balance in the gameplay, this could be a very interesting game to play. Good job doing this in only two days!

One thing bothered me: island borders blocking missiles, making the progression more difficult because I have to find another spot to shoot, exposing myself to others islands turrets.
Besides that, nice game, simple but efficient graphics and audio, gj :)

I like the concept a lot but this is really too difficult ! Enemies' cannons seem to have a bigger range than the player (even after getting powerups) so you can't hit them without being hit. That would be cool to regain a little amount of life when you conquer an island.

Graphics are quite stylish. Good job man !

This is quite the tough little shooter! I would like to see the bullets and explosion in a different color to stand out more from the terrain. Your ship doesn't move much like a ship, but you'd probably have to redesign everything around it if it did, lol.

Wow, this is one of my favorites!

- I love the hit-effects. The particles and sounds are very satisfying and well done.
- I had some trouble with the control at first, but within a few minutes it felt very tight and satisfying to navigate around enemy bullets.
- I really like the camera-rotation when you rotate. It feels very intuitive.
- Getting upgrades with each kill was a nice touch.

This is a very solidly made shooter. I found it really tough, but it was fun to circle around the enemies and take out their turrets before conquering. The visuals (ships and continents) were well done too. Great job!

Perfectly on theme. Absolutely love the idea and the gameplay. I'd love to see another version with upgraded graphics and sound. Great job!

Neat old-school idea and solid execution. Reminds me of Desert Strike and Return Fire, except on the high seas of course.

One user interface problem though. So... much... clicking. An under-powered rapid fire weapon should keep firing when the button is held down.

In fact I even tried to make a version with auto-fire, but your source repo is missing all the prefabs and the whole level so that wasn't really feasible.

Ok job in all.

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! I agree the ship is too under powered at the start but I didn't have a lot of time for balancing unfortunately.

@huvaakoodia I have updated the git repository to include all the assets now if you still want to modify it.

This game was a lot of fun. The sound effects were very old-school, and I liked the way that the islands covered each other, forcing me to find a weak point to attack. Great job!

It's nice, but it really takes too long to learn how to be good at it. Maybe a level progression, or a tutorial level to ease you into it might help? Overall though, it has great potential and it's already really fun. I also enjoyed the way the islands interlocked with each other!

### GOOD
-Solid gameplay, immediately obvious on the goal and controls
-The hits and the particles really step the game up a notch
-Sounds are a good match, reminds me of NES/SNES shooters
### IMPROVEMENTS
-Some visual movement feedback would be nice over the expanses of water, possibly some clouds?
-Shooting should be hold down to fire
-There wasn't a whole lot of strategy involved with a "secure the world" type game, adding some skill level such as slower moving projectiles that you can dodge would go a long way

Great, polished entry and with a tiny bit of work could be top notch, great game!

Fun little game. The controls were simple enough for me to start playing without reading a lot of instructions, which I really liked. I wish there was a way to replenish my health. Maybe have powerups dropped after defeating the enemy ships.

Sound effects and art is good, good take on the theme. Gameplay is very fun but like people said it's quite hard, I think what would reduce the difficulty is spacing the islands further from each other and not ramping up the difficulty. After the first island all other islands have minimum of 3 turrets and are also protected by surrounding islands. Maybe make it almost a puzzle game where you pick of the weaker islands and then get to the more powerful ones.

Pretty cool concept here !
It just lacked of balacing and some more mechanics in my opinion.
For example conquering an island should be giving health or upgrading weapons, or there could be another weapons like limited missiles ?
Another thing which would have been cool is visual feedback, to know when you're shot, when you've shot a turret, etc
Anyway i liked it ! Good job !

Good work! Blowing stuff up from a bigass boat is a time tested gaming joy. I will echo what others said in that the weapons really lack punch. When you're traveling forward, the bullets don't go any faster, which makes it seem like you're just peeing into the water ahead rather than firing at full steam. If you really like making this type of game, there's all sorts of tricks and techniques you'll learn when it comes to making moving and shooting feel excellent in the player's hands. This game is a good sign that you will continue to do well if you choose to do so. Keep it up!

Very cool game, my kingdom for autofire though. It seems too hard, but it was a lot of fun to play. I like the aesthetic a lot, but hold click to fire + faster or somehow better turning would have improved the experience. A way to repair would also be great.

I played this game on stream here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/141703264 - at time 2:15:50

Very cool game, addicting :) Graphics are simple but good enough. The controls are tight which I like, aiming works perfectly. The only thing I would change is that enemies range and aim is a bit too good. If you would make the range OR aim smaller I think it would be more balanced?
And if you had more time you could add things like health pickups, new weapons and upgrades (but of course that's understandable in this amount of time)

Nice entry!
