This really hard! Great game though, especially if you made it in just one day!

@Sintel: Thanks a lot! :blush:
Yeah, if you make a mistake with a present, you'll find yourself juggling a bit (that was my hope to meet the theme). Indeed, was in one day - have now added Timelapse video for fun/proof! :smile:
Thanks again!

This was great man. It took a try or two to get used to the controls, but once I got it, everything clicked! Super fun! (Needs xmas music!!!)

@josefnpat: Hey, thanks! :D
I know, I know... I'm SO annoyed I ran outta time to do music.
Too late for LD, but I'm gonna polish it properly (music, SFX, etc.) and release a "finished" update separately ;o)

That was quite difficult! The graphics are simple but super nice! A shame there's no sounds. :X Solid one-day compo overall, great job!!

Wow, that was hard. The mechanics simple enough once I spotted the `X` *and* arrows for angled bouncing. But basically I found that I never had a chance to bounce one off to the side without the next falling down costing me a life. That was I managed to get to level two, but then died promptly. One way to fix this would be if the pipe gave a warning that the package was on its way. So I had time get back to center. And also to have packages for first and second level come much less frequently. At least give me three extra bounces not really needed if you know what you are doing per package on the first level. And maybe the packages in the beginning should have parachutes?

Fun idea though.

Thanks for this extensive feedback, it's both **very** helpful and much appreciated.
I originally planned for a countdown/warning when the next package arrived, along with the color to expect (so you can plan ahead - like Tetris) - but I kinda liked the *panic* of having to make a quick reaction/decision to sort while it's falling out of the tube.
But you're right, I still need to add an actual warning of *when* the next drop is, even if I withhold the color.
I also love the idea of extending the drop intervals between drops for early levels - will think more about the parachute idea tho! :D
Again, thanks for the great feedback!

It took a while to get used to the controls, but once you did it was really fun and challenging! Great job!

I think I spent a little too long playing this, haha :) Great job, it's quite amazing that you made it in just one day!

Very nice game! I reached level 4 after couple of tries. The only thing, I would wished, is to have some funny 8bit soundfx and music.

Love the retro style! Very difficult though. My blood pressure has been raised. Potentially the lives resetting after every level might make it a bit easier?

nice work in one day - it was fun but very hard when multiple presents come down - great game

This reminds me of the Game & Watch game Fire. I liked the addition of bouncing high or low and setting the angle.

Wooo pico8 games! The consequential aesthetic really works here--as @gamepopper said it reminds me of Game & Watch games (which is a good thing!)

It's incredibly punishing though--if you don't get the first bounce on any gift right, it's almost a given that you won't be in position for the next one. Fun, but very hard!

This as a really cool game, cute, loved the mood and the gameplay mechanics. In spite of being a simple game, the gameplay is not that easy, being challenging. I loved the art style which matched nicely with the mood and simple feel. I just missed some 8bit sound effects and a Christmas background tune.

Overall a polished and good game, I really liked the sorting mechanic, but I might be biased as in our game we sort Christmas gifs too... Give it a try if you'd like :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/santas-factory
