Clever mechanic. Interesting abilities, and the tradeoffs feel meaningful. Great work. Just wish I were better at the genre :)
Ship control feels a bit stiff, it would be worth looking at ways to smooth out the motion while making it feel snappier and more responsive.

I really enjoyed the graphics and sound design. Cool mechanic to have the scrap shield you as you pick it up. Well done. Thanks for creating and sharing.

Pretty neat game, multi shot is a little overpowered though!

Overall the biggest thing I think to add to the game is 'juice', add some screenshake and more particles etc. A good place that needs particles is when you do damage to the boss, but not kill it.

Great job overall!

I really like the idea behind the game, and the game-play was actually really fun at first. But I found it rather repetitive after the first level or 2. Also it would be nice to see a panel that shows previously bought upgrades, so we can concentrate our builds.

Other than that, the sound, controls and graphics were really nicely done!

One of those entries you need to drop by and have a look at; after joining the game dev community and back then seeing "Tub o war" just need to see what Quill comes up with (sucks that twitch removes copyrighted music... would watch it if it had sound)
Big thumbs up :thumbsup_tone1:

Missed your stream this go around but as always you impressed with your entry. Sounds we great, graphics were nice. It got a bit too much bullet hell like on the boss and occasionally the boss would let out a scrap but I couldn't collect it (missing a collider?)

Otherwise very well done!

Games is put together really well. It has a nice flow and everything just works. The sounds were funny and the art was well done for a non artist. It amazes me you put this together in just under 30 hours.

I thought this game was pretty clever. One thing I've noticed with a lot of the games in this jam is that they try to make you choose between upgrades and health, but they're usually so easy that the choice doesn't matter. Here, I felt the game was though enough to make me want the upgrades but also have some scrap left over for the next level, especially as the game progressed. On the down side, I will say that the voice lines felt a bit jarring and kinda came out of nowhere to startle me at the end of every level. That aside, this is a very solid entry.

Nice game, although I think the game was a bit too hard, but that's probably because I'm spending all of my scrap at the beginning of each level :D, Overall a pretty solid entry!

I only have one comment! I really like the upgrade system, but a bullet hell game needs a clearly defined (and particularly small) hitbox. The window of the plane would have been great for this. If enemies shot more bullets, but the hitbox was smaller, this would be great! More variety in the upgrades would have been nice too, and the ability to control the formation of the droids (maybe they orbit, or maybe they follow you in a line, etc. It was a very good experience though. by the final boss I noticed I had enough scrap saved up and i was so op i could just live through their volleys of bullets. 4/5!

Cool little space shooter, music was nice and I am always a fan of vocal SFX. Nice game!

Really cool game and one of the most fun ones I have played this LD. Only criticism that I could come up with is that it is hard for me to see the enemy bullets especially when there is a lot of stuff going on screen while dodging. Maybe reserving contrasting(against anything else) color for enemy bullets or more animations on them would solve the problem. Anyway great job!
