I was a little confused about my aim in the boss battle. I assumed I was meant to attack it, but the lack of feedback on if my attacks were doing anything made it hard to gauge if I was understanding correctly.

Great mood/audio/art, though.

@mistersdevelopment we didn't have time to make a properly graphic effect, but you can defeat the boss only avoiding it!

Nice entry, I wish the "in game" art was as nice looking as the "narrative" art. I couldn't figure out how to kill the sharks without letting them bite me at least once though.
And the music was so sad! It felt like the game itself had a faster rythm than the music so it was a little weird.

This looks and sounds beautiful! The intro cutscenes were genuinely moving and the music really made it seem like I was traveling across the world like in a movie montage.

I also wasn't sure how to get past the final boss. I felt like I was hitting him but nothing was happening and then I would randomly be hit. It is a shame because I would have liked to see the end of the story!

wow that was very good. I am sad that there is just this one level. The music is awesome, the drawings are awesome, the conrolls are awesome. Nice game.

Just one thing. I found it quite difficult to differentiate between the shark attacking right ore up. And the water effects of the shark are infront of the bear.

realy great Game :-D

It looks nice by jam standards. Game is a little bit easy but the core is good. Very cute.

Would have been nice to get a little more feedback from the sharks, it was hard to tell what side they were biting from and they just kind of disappear when you hit them. The feedback from hitting an iceberg was good though.

The music, sounds, and artwork really set the tone well. The game play had the right amount of intensity as well. Simple and to the point. Good job!

Father bear and son reunited! :tada:

I really liked the intro comic.

Game play was simple and easy to pick up, so it was pretty easy to beat. I never really felt like I was running out of space, since my little ice platform lasted for quite a while. Maybe it could have decreased faster?

And like others have said, it was a bit tough to figure out where the sharks were biting from, so it came down to hitting each of the arrow keys to whack them sometimes :shark:

But overall it was a fun entry to play, I liked the transitions of the background from start to finish. It really made me feel like the bear traveled a long way to find his son.

I really liked the artwork on the characters and the story board. The plot was simple, but effective in getting me emotionally invested in the character. I think the theme was missed completely, however, because the raft disappearing is just an aesthetic gimmick, as opposed to being an actual mechanic that has to do with space running out.

There's a huge lack of feedback, I never knew where I was aiming, and the grampus just killed me like that, I pressed 100 times my attacks but nothing happened. I think that's the bad point of the game, however, the audio is cool, I like the graphics and enjoyed seeing some famous buildings in the background :)

Cool game!

14. Aug 2018 · 17:26 UTC
Awww, the paintings and the writing were really heartwarming! The game mechanics themselves didn't keep me interested for that long, and we needed the hint about the boss to know what to do. My favorite part was "Was there a mechanic that was cut? You'll never know..." :P Good job, team!

The artwork and animation in this game is absolutely wonderful. I love all of the animations of the bear when he strikes with his paddle. It looks so good and he's just so freakin' cute!

I really enjoyed the cut scenes too. They pulled at my heart strings quite a bit :')

Also, I especially like the style/look of the artwork on the main menu and the final picture! I adore the vibrant colors and the pretty shading!

The game play itself was pretty fun but what really made the game memorable for me was the artwork. The gorgeous cut scene art has really inspired me to work on getting better with polishing/shading my art. So thank you for that <3

And thank you for making this game! I had a lot of fun with it :)

I really like the music and the art, I think the boss music doesn`t match with the rest of the game and the player need more feedback. story was great just need to be deeper.

hope it help. :)

14. Aug 2018 · 19:28 UTC
Nice graphics and the choice of music is very fitting, it makes the game very atmospheric. The story is simple but effective. The only downside is that I don't see the 'Running out of space' theme and the gameplay is very simple, but at least it is very well implemented, no bugs and the general feel is quite good. It only needs a little more variety and content.

Wonderful graphics and really heartwarming story! I really loved the artwork and how it conveyed the emotions of the characters! The mechanics were nice and simple but effective although the attacking directions didn't seem to work right for me. Sometimes attack in a different direction still got rid of the sharks and other times it didn't. The music was also very lovely and added to the mood quite a bit! Great work!

15. Aug 2018 · 11:54 UTC
This was well made but I'm going to be a little bit knit picky. The music to me felt too slow for the pace of the game. I really loved the visuals but the visual feedback let it down a bit as it was hard to know when we could hit the sharks or even if the cool patches were working. I was also a bit confused as to how to beat the whale at the end. But in saying all that, I did enjoy the music, narrative and art style. Your team should be proud!

Whoa the ending scene was so beautiful! Felt so rewarding (unlike ours)! Short games like this are perfect for LD since it seems like the general attention span is around 1 level. The graphics were very pretty and the orca scene felt intense. Glad I remembered the boost thing. I liked that you guys had a narrative - it enriched the game a lot.
