Lyrebird by Qaterknan

!!!! Unfortunately FIREFOX has a problem with clicking audio. Play in Chrome/Chromium to have an undisturbed experience !!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EDIT: A lot of people got stuck on the first level. That is a sign of me being too secretive. I wanted to keep the game as mysterious as possible but I didn't make the first level intuitive enough...
SPOILERS: To pass the level you need to match the rhythm of the sound. In the end it means you have to hold your mouse for a certain amount of time. In the first level knock on the door and then hold the singing slider so that it makes this sound: "_...". That means holding it for approx. half a second. If you fail (and the door shut) you can train holding the button. When you feel ready knock on the door and try again.
headphones recommended!
use mouse to control - click and hold to sing.
progress is saved automatically.
Lyrebird is a musical toy/experience. Your goal is to communicate with procedurally generated creatures. Every creature has a different voice but fortunately you have the ability to shape yours! Use this advantage to make contact with those mysterious beings...
Beating the game unlocks a sandbox mode.
Used tools/technologies:
- javascript, WebAudio, HTML5
- Phaser.io
- Audacity
- Gimp
- Baudline (for sound analysis)

Very creative idea though.
So if you want to try other levels, do this: In the first level, hold the singing slider for approx. half a second so it rhytmically looks like this: " _ ... " (one long and three shorts)
