The visuals are pretty good, but the game is really slow. The game didn't seem to progress unless I drank coffee? A clever idea, but hard to know what the strategy or difficulty is.

Taken into account the time you've spent on the game the result is pretty neat. It's not perfect and it's very rough sometimes (specially the progression) but hey, very nice for 15h of work.

Really nice idea, I hope he was making another Game Jam Survival Simulator. Really nice UI and the different options felt well balanced. Animations were a nice touch but bugged out regularly. Great game though!

The graphics are a little buggy, when you click stuff before the previous animation is done, it blends the two.

Progression is quite slow, but enjoyable for a couple of playthroughs.

Pretty good prototype (I guess it's what we should call it since you could only spend 15h). The idea behind is great and if you could have dedicated your full time on it, I'm pretty sure it would have been a great polished game !

Keep it up as it's a good idea.


ps: you should have make it a bit more responsive, I couldn't see the entire screen despite I have a good resolution :(

Neat idea, fun looking visuals and great animations! Playing the game however felt rather slugish and not too rewarding. Still taking into account the time and the fact that it is a game jam, it is a really good entry :)

Haha, that was a pleasant little adventure, I really felt guilty and kind of hypocritical, but also accomplished when taking a break rewarded me!

I could feel the character's stress as he was trying to finish the game, but I managed to complete it after a few times! Cool game jam sim and kudos for doing this in such a short time.

A subtle bug I noticed was that if you select a long option which ends the game, the option's wait is still active so there's no pressing retry right after dying for all options. I thought it had crashed at first.

Superb idea, could be a great little game if developed further. Good fun as it is though and top marks for innovation.

That was pretty cool! I succeeded just in the nick of time, but unfortunately my Quality score was only 69%. Still though, that sums up game jams pretty well. The graphics were very nice (though I did make the character somehow phase out of his chair sideways while sitting to use the restroom) and compliment the gameplay well.

Keep up the great work, and here's to another victory in your next go at Ludum Dare!

I found this game pretty amusing and relatable. It was fun to devise the most efficient work schedule, and the text was humorous.
I got the "You Ran Out of Time!" ending even with 100% game completion... I presume a win message was not implemented.
The Kenney assets are put to good use... but... technically... you're supposed to disable the graphics voting if you use pre-existing art assets.
The animations are very nice though. I was especially surprised and amused by the karoshi animation. Good job.

Haha, doing what I did in reality didn't seem to work out so well in game! Something like 60 % quality score in the end!

A nice small touch for the visuals regarding the meters would have been to match the animations timing with when the meters refill, so rather than instantly refilling the meters when you click on the action, refilling them when you actually are performing the action (having walked away, into the bathroom etc).

I would echo the problem that despite my 1920x1080 screen, if i didn't fullscreen the game by pressing F11 in my browser and then scrolling to the right height, some things were definitely off screen!

It is interesting though, nice for the amount of work put in and definitely innovative haha :D

Considering you did it in 15 hours thats pretty cool. Doing a simulator with that many options and balancing it well requires time, so, good job. With sound and a cool UI you have a very cool start for a complete game.

Fun little game. Played a few times and was never able to win, but maybe that says more about me than it does the game. Impressive workload for 15 hours. Nice work.

Soooooo much better as a turnbased game than if it was one of those typical realtime dev sim games. It allowed you to have more interesting decisions with the cards and all (imagine this as a deckbuilder!) I liked the thought you put into the mechanics such as having to weigh combo vs code quality and juggling all your meters optimally. One of the more unique games I've seen this jam!

I ran out of time but made 97% of the game with a quality of 74% and 72489 points. o/

It's a "meta" take on the theme, amusing concept. It can be tricky to balance this kind of "stats game" but it's pretty well balanced, the graphics as well as the animations are great. I really liked the sun / moon cycle that you can see through the windows, nice detail. The UI is pretty clean and intuitive.

Anyway, good job, especially in 15H!

That was a great game in 15 hours. Ours was not playable at that point. Fun art and worked very well as a meta-game. I didn't complete my game on my first playthrough, I will be attempting again.

Hey I played this on stream it was fun!

I got up to 75% completed :yum:

The chair I feel could have moved like the door, he seemed to just glitch through it

Something that would be great to see would be creating a genre of a game and picking the focus of it - The end game would then be published and you would get fake comments going "this is bad" "booo" in the comments if it's bad :yum:

All in all great game! Has real potential!
