[raw]
made by akirassasin for LD35 (COMPO)
High above the void
standing on the shifting plate
evading pellets.
-------------------------
ARROWKEYS to move.
Stepping out of the box will result in a game over.
Dodging pellets is not compulsary, but they push you around.

EDIT: Now available for Linux. Yay!
EDIT 2: Here's a useless secret. You can cling onto the square after falling out a short amount of time.

I think the concept is nice, but after playing a few times, I couldn't manage to understand the logic in the obstacles spawn in a way that I could prevent it and improve my skill.

With a proper balancing of difficulty, I think you could get an elegant and funny game.

Also, the art seems to generic. It might do well adding some theme.

Solid! There's a little learning curve but you get the hang of it. The difficulty might ramp up a little bit too quickly but overall a fun game.

Really nice idea and nice looking, I like the game idea but struggle to know which bullets I can take a hit from and which will push me out the square.

can you package Linux or openGL version of your game too? I can't play your game :(
P.s. If you are participating in compo you must provide game's source code!

all bullets push you out of the square :)

edve98:
Will do! Source code is in unitypackage form.

Thanks guys!

Haha, nice take on the theme: shifting the shapes. Clever!

Super hard game. But after a few attempts I got over 2000!

The game could really use some physics though. Instead of getting a really hard push from the projectiles you could be accelerated by them?

Overall, fun!

Hope you had fun making it =)

Took me 2 minutes to understanding what happens . After that it's a pure fun great game

Hard and a neat idea, i would have liked if there was a margin of error that you could recover from rather than a hit flying you way out the arena.

Great polish! Could be a little bit easier in the beginning.

Took a bit of time to understand what's going on. After that the game was challenging every play time and wants you to try out more. Unfortunately it does get a bit boring after a short time. Sometimes it feels the space is a tad too tight and you can just avoid things by luck. Still a nice game though!

Difficult but it has potential, I feel if it had a more gradual learning curve it could be a really good game. Where it becomes more and more hectic with a play area that becomes smaller and smaller.

764! It's a hard game but that's ok! I would have preferred a slightly longer time limit for the time you could be out of the square. Other than that, good job!

Thanks for putting up Linux version :). Although it has _MACOSX folder in the zip - not sure why.

And now the game: I think that it is too hard. Remember that you play your game countless times when testing and have a lot of time to master it. If you think it's a bit hard for others it might be unplayable. Also I feel like the game shouldn't start until you press an arrow button - some people might not be able to read instructions as quickly (not sure who. But it's also possible that they check their phone while Unity3d logo is showing or something). But that's just polishing though :P

Also I didn't find any humor in your game - why didn't you opt out from this category? (also I didn't heard any sounds but that might be because I was messing with alsa mixer yesterday)

edve98: I'm experimenting with a difficulty curve, thanks for the arrow key idea :) I forget that I can opt out of categories...

Challenging, well made game! I included it in my video compilation series of Ludum Dare games, if you’d like to check them out :) https://youtu.be/1j0YT8wm6Kc

Great one! Once I got the idea I became a master (despite the fact I can't reach more than 970).
The look is great, good work!

I don't get it. Is it even possible to last more than a few seconds? If I don't move, I get shot and I lose, and if I move, I fall off and I also lose :(
