You and your crew are lost in space and your fusion reactor has broken down. :rocket:
With the remaining power and resources, you need to reach your home planet.

Navigate through multiple planetary systems, harvest planet resources by orbiting them, battle with enemy ships, upgrade your ships and manage your systems.

Just try not to die of hunger, thirst, flying into a star...

I found this game really fun! Although, the unpause button doesn't work. Overall a great experience

@corwn-games Thanks for letting us know. We actually broke the battle system with not setting the button to trigger something. A bugfix is one the way.

Awesome job! I've tried quite a few times to make simple game with somewhat realistic space physics that is fun and have fun controls but failed every time. It seems you've nailed it! Battle scenes are awesome and engaging, exploration is neat and not boring, it have some tactical and strategical depth, it's basically all you can dream of. I can see myself playing this game after event ends for days and days. Don't be surprised to see more comments from me if I stumble upon more unexpected things, and I hope you'll see me in a leaderboard too. :D

Also, the atmosphere is great, which is greatly supported by changing and good music.

**Very impressive** what you two managed to do in the little time that we all had.

Just as @mortus said. I've tried to make a game like this before. At least the physics part of it. I agree with mortus, you've nailed it!

Also, @Traincraft, I managed to beat your score  @Zeknir, you're next !

I spent a ton of time playing and I loved every minute of it. Thanks! And good luck in the ranks. You're worthy of being ranked at least top 10 in some of the categories.

**Thanks a lot to all of you for the great response so far!**

@liquidbrain @mortus Yeah, the physics was easily the hardest part for me to create. I've actually wasted like an hour or more to try to get Unity's effector to work, but in the end, I coded my own simulation.

Also while I can't promise anything, we are taking a look at on how to continue work on the game after LD. We still have tons of ideas!

This game is a ton of fun! Wish there was a minimap or at least a better way to measure distance to a planet and to see my trajectory, had more than a few collisions with planets because they snuck up on me before I could do maneuvers. Glad to hear that you might keep working on it, there's a lot of great stuff to build on here.

the graphics are great, so the sound! the game looks quite hard at the first time, unlucky not a "plug and play" game. Good job btw! :)

Cool game ! Neat graphics, and I love things in space x) So congrats ! The musics and sounds are cool too, but it was juste a little bit too hard to orbit around a planet, I think they does not enough attract the ship. But nice game :) Keep coding :)

**Amazing game considering the time taken**
However the game is very complicated and has a high learning curve. I struggled to mine and even move the ship. It took me a while to feel like I could even begin to understand what I was doing. So most of the time I just stared at the pretty graphics.

This was a great game, especially considering the amount of time you had. I really loved the orbiting physics mechanic, it was really fun, if a little difficult to find the correct balance. I think the combat system might have worked better with simplified physics, but I'm not entirely sure. That said, the graphics were great and the game was really fun.

@rednw @capitals @mathiouza The physics is surely not perfect yet. Also, it's quite difficult to know how to quickly get an orbit if you haven't played something like KSP.

It's definitely something to improve post LD!

Wow, very impressive!
There are many aspects in this game, fighting, orbit, movement on galaxy map, ressource mangagement, events, a tutorial... and everything seems very impressive.
The graphics were fitting and the background music set a perfect mood.
If I want to critisize, I had my problems to figure out when I was able to scan a planet, sometimes it worked, sometimes I was in a close orbit and it was not allowed.

A very impressive reminder of "FTL: Faster Than Light", at least to me, but plus the realtime controls of the flying :) It was really challenging for me to get into orbits and not fly into planets, but I got into it. I also shot down a few ships. The art is really consistent. Impressive and the first real game with VERY long playtime I've played so far (put of ~10). Epic job!

I'm having a problem with a macOS build, but maybe I'm just stupid. I download a zip and if I unzip the file I get Contents folder that probably should be inside the .app file. So it looks like you have .zip instead of .app but just changing the extension does not help.

This must be the best game I have played so far. It's phenomenal how well everything works and looks. I had loads of fun and all of the mechanics were well explained in the tutorial, so it was easy to get into while it also wasn't too much to read. Also the length of a round is perfect. **Overall an amazing game!**

Also @liquidbrain, @Zeknir I've beeten your scores ;)

*(But maybe I had a slight advatage for having hundreds of hours into KSP :P)*

@wolar I pushed an update to the mac branch on itch. I accidentally zipped the .app folder itself. It should work now. Thanks for telling us!

Amazing game!, Very well made with lots of different mechanics. Fun and engaging too. I looks and works great. Was a bit hard for me to enter orbit, but I will play later to keep better at it :)

This game is really complex and has a lot of cool features. I really really enjoyed playing it since I like FTL stlyle games and mainly I like games set in space. This is something I always wanted to make/play so thank you for developing it. It is amazing how much you achieved in just 3 days.
I like everything about this game - graphcs, theme usage, music and the mood and all the mechanics. Included tutorial is great.
As for the gameplay for me it was at first very hard to orbit a planet (without scanner turned on). But then I got better at it. I had so much fun playing it - really it is a great game. My only complaint would be that the game is very complex - it is not bad in any was, it just takes a second to understand all the systems.

@besslaaneshi The rotation of the ship is not saved right now as far as I know. Also you might be orbiting a star? Stars can't be scanned. Adding an indicator in the UI for this would probably be helpful.

@novotmike Orbiting a planet with the scanner turned off is very brave

Yeah, the game is really complex and it kinda throws everything at you at once. The tutorial is good, but not enough. This is something that we will definitely change post-jam.

I am verrry bad at this game - but had a lot of fun playing it :) I only managed to successfully orbit planets a couple times, but it was super satisfying to get it right. I think if I practiced more, I'd get better - will have to come back to it after rating some more games. The tutorial throws a lot at you, but the game obviously has a lot of depth - awesome that your team managed to get so much content/polish done, nicely done!

So much effort in a 72 hours game! There is so much things to do and an overall complexity that's just great.
As someone said above it is not a "plug and play" game, but to me it's not a bad thing.
You just need to figure out how to move your spaceship slowly and take your time to get the right way to approach a planet.
The mood is nice thanks to the great visuals and sounds.
You should definitely expand it. :)
