Collect the GREEN boxes to lower your hunger, so you don't die. AVOID the RED boxes because you loose health ! WATCH your fuel. It doesn't last long the fatter you get !

CONTROLS: -arrow key or WASD to move character

Your a fat guy who can fly like having an jetpack. You need to get to the end before you die of hunger.On your way there you can eat some "hamburgers"(the green ones,no time for sprites :smile:) but they will make you fatter and the jetpack isn´t going any faster.

This was my first time. It was fun but did't had a lot of time and starting twice from scratch doesn´t help eiter. I hope that i will do better for LD41 .We all do...

Nice little concept - haven't seen anything like it before. Was a bit unclear where I had to go, but other than that - nice.

Such a fat, happy square. Good use of the theme. I think you get fat a little too fast though, almost un-flyable within minutes.

I like the use of the theme. Its hilarious watching the poor obese jet pack man struggle up the screen for another bite of food.

Nice work! Balancing the stats was difficult but enjoyable, and it was a little hard to tell where I was going sometimes, like another reviewer mentioned. Otherwise, really solid use of the theme and fun gameplay!

This game follows the theme in an interesting way: You need to eat to survive, however if you eat you will grow fat and eventually not be able to lift with the jetpack.

@safrmo i will add some tutorial or some arrows to show the way the player has to go.

A very simple and fun idea, that fit game jam theme vert well. To this is a great first LD game. Well done.

Good work on finishing this. I agree with the other suggestions that you get too fat too quickly, but I understand the stress/time management aspect of the first jam - lord knows I struggled with that myself. Congratulations for finishing a project!

@mark-kennedy thanks for the reply. The balancing was really time consouming and at the end there was none of that...also wrapping up the game to more time then i explected.

The mechanics are nice, but is the fuel running out a bit too fast? Didn't feel like I was progressing much.

@fashionbatman thank you for the nice comment. I made it on purpose a little bit more difficult so the players won't simply rush threw the game.

Not a bad game. Though I did find it confusing that the health bar is red but touching the red things is bad. Oh well, I learned from my mistake.

@tvance I wanted to add strawberry sprites to the red boxes, and tell the player that he is alergic to strawberries and because of that he would loose health. But at the end there was no time and by mistake the player will learn.

This is a really great game. No complaints other than the fact that sometimes my fuel went down too rapidly and I couldn't get to a distant platform in time. Otherwise, this is great!

@justin-toyo well if you get fatter the jetpack needs to burn more fuel because of you increased weight.
