Cats Can Do That by crazyrems

In this game you are responsible of making the power plant work.
It's basically a cookie game.
I hope you'll enjoy the game as much as I loved making it.
Visit the itch.io page and play it in full screen.

Super concept, j'essaye avec mes chats dès que je rentre de chez @Ramou ;)

Anyway I'm glad you liked it
The gameplay is pretty simple and I don't know how long I want to play it, because I've played my fair share of 'cookie' games already (the correct term would be 'clicker' or 'idle' by the way). It takes forever to get to the second cat. I don't know how long it takes to get to the last one but it'll probably be a while.
The graphics are pretty cool. The sketched artwork works pretty well for this type of game. And the way the cats spin is funny.
I've had a few bugs though. For example when I bought a lot of toast at once the cat just stopped spinning randomly and it said 'rusk remaining: 30'. And when I bought another one I was at 1 again. I also accidentally bought a second cat for the first generator because I thought the cat was 'depleted', and not the toast.
Overall I really like this one though. Good job.
Like:
- nice spinning cat graphics
- hilarious idea for a clicker
- good sounds, love the mews and hums
- kind of a large list of cats to choose from
Try differently:
- how about a shortcut (yeah, in a clicker game, I know...) that if you double click on a stack of toast, you expand it by one without having to go into the shop list? :D
Overall:
- had a good laugh even though I usually don't play clicker games :dog:
- I justify this by achieving a higher bread expertise by playing this!
The only thing is that it's a bit slow, and there isn't much to do while you wait to get more money so you can buy another cat.
Also it would be helpful to have an indication for how much toast each generator has without having to click on it.
Apart from that though, I really like the game. Especially the graphics and audio etc. :)
My one big complaint is that there's nothing to do most of the time. In games like Cookie Clicker you're always, well, clicking. Here you're just waiting. I'm not sure exactly how you could make something that would fit the theme but if you did, it would make the game a lot more enjoyable.
Other than that, I only have minor complaints. The scroll wheel is incredibly slow, to the point where it's utterly pointless to use it. Multiply it by like 20. As you get more cats it gets a bit confusing which ones you've refilled with bread. A small indicator showing how much bread is left would have been great. Also, when buying new cats it would be great to know how much income it would add.
The game idea and the introduction are really funny. the graphics are good. it's also quite absorbing, so it's a pity there isn't any ending or challenge a part checking out all these cats ;)
also at some point in the beginning of the game I charged my turbines with a pile of bread rusk and it was consuming very very slowly so I restarted the game.
I think this game has very good potential to become something addictive if you ever think about expanding. For a jam game in my opinion this is very much OK!
anyway it's a very good entry, congrat's!
I really loved making that game and I can't thank you enough for being so kind!
