The idea of a god actually being constrained by resources is an interesting one. Guess it would be more common with folk gods, like the one you play in this game.

I like the hand-drawn aesthetic. Reminds me of sketching worlds and characters into my middle school notebook during class.

Edit: Just realized, I don't think I ever had to call down rain? Or at least maybe I misintepreted my followers' calls :)

Interesting idea :) Was fun to burn some forest from time to time :)
I'm really fuzzy about winning condition, though...

I liked the hand drawn tileset. When people say they need fire, are they asking for a thunderstorm?

Thanks you all for playing my first Ludum Dare game :)
I'm really happy of these positive feedback about this hand drawn graphics.

Rain & water are the most common resource. Disciples collect them through plain where their houses usually starts.

There is no winning condition, this is the fate of gods to be forgotten...
If you want one, you can try to obtain maximum disciples without losing all your energy.
Maybe I should made a victory screen when we managed to convert the entire population of the map.
But that meant stopping the game at this moment.

Asking a thunderstorm for fire is quite strange, I agree.
I had in mind to refer to the discovery of fire.
I should add a tree that burn whit the storm in this animation.

How do I know who needs what if the text appears before I can scroll the camera there? Also, I am missing a menu or pause option :) Other than that, seems like a good idea!

## Praise

The hand-drawn aesthetic is nice. As @jjjjason mentioned, it feels like drawings done in a middle school notebook. That seems like an interesting and fitting art style for a god game. I also have to commend you for making a god game for a jam. I've done it before and it is pretty work intensive.

## Suggestions

While I like the art style, the UI is very hard to read. At least, make the panels opaque so your players don't have to read black text over black and white drawings.

It probably got cut for time, but it needs a proper tutorial.

Really like the idea and execution!
Might just be me, but it took me some time to see there was actually a tutorial going on in the screen. Was already clicking and goofing around before I noticed it so it was already half way done.

Interesting game ! I like the concept a lot.

There's still room for improvement though :

The game could do with some Audio it would add a nice touch, it's actually easier than it seems, you can use your mouth for most SFX and something like Bosca Ceoil to do average music quite easily ^^.

The UI isn't very readable at the moment.I think it's a problem of scale, since you made the game with unity I'm thinking maybe you were playtesting your game in a small window and not in fullscreen.Perhaps adding color to it would help it stand out too.

Lastly the concept is interesting but it feels like it lacks something. A winning condition could be cool, or just a score on the amount of time you manage to survivre. The game lacks a bit of challenge so it becomes a bit boring after a while. But I'm sure you can find out some tweaks to make the player feel more pression.

Anyway good work (and nice graphic assets) !

It's an interesting game, even though the graphics are not the most polished, it plays well. Is it possible to move the camera? I felt things were happening out of the camera range, I even clicked a button that was only partially visible, and it took me out of the game =/

Reminds me a lot of populus haha! But more simple of course :3 Good game, maybe you could continue development after the jam.

Interesting concept but kind of hard to grasp at first, also ui is difficult to read.

It took a while to figure out how it worked, like how all the numbers and powers played out and balanced. Nice hand drawn graphics though!

The mechanics felt a little obscure since the feedback on player's actions wasn't very visible. Some additional tutoring and more direct reactions to your actions from the people as well as a more clear UI might help here. The visual style rocks!

Interesting concept but no clear objective. I like the game but a few things aren't explained properly like what the symbols at the top are.

Interesting. Without any objective or goal, I found myself lose interest pretty quick though. I like the look of it.

I was about to write a few points but whilst going through the review I found @ashtrail already nailed it. So... imagine I wrote what ashtrail did ;) Nice job!

Overall a pretty neat concept. I couldn't really grasp what consequences my actions had to the disciples. I got that "we want fire" means they want a storm, but overall a tutorial would have helped! (Not that you had time for a tutorial!)
