ISHI - Eternal Companion by Maruki
You can also play it on https://maruki.itch.io/ishi
Update: I found the issue with the endings in my code and fixed them (I had messed up the conditions)! Let me know if the issues persist.
Yet another update: I just fixed the last image that was still a draft (the hand).
Note: There is a spirit ending! You have to find out where to click! :D Also, there are two kinda secret endings if you play around with balancing the constitution.
ISHI is a bite-size existential pet simulator. Given its meditative constitution, if you've been struggling with intrusive thoughts or anything depressive recently, I don't recommend playing it.
My intention was to offer some relief for these kinds of feelings and thoughts through the interaction of a "pet" (I guess pretty much everyone will have to deal with them sooner or later), but my writing may not be the best for many people. So be warned.
If you do play ISHI, I hope you can enjoy it with tranquility. Peace.

Otherwise a very interesting experience :D
I love this kind of style, still a game, but so focused on narrative^^
There's a lot about this that I like, but it wasn't obvious to me how it connects to the sacrifice theme. Did I miss something?
@pennycook The sacrifice comes in two ways: first, the way we sacrifice our existence and essence to live the way we do -
following already made-up patterns and beaten paths - and how this makes us feel; and second, in the way that the rock absorbs the main character's essence in order to change and ease the main character's suffering (observable from the middle of the game).
What a wonderful game, I really love it!
Your artwork, your music selection, all the game makes me feel good :v:
Beautiful game
@jeplmr thanks, providing a WebGL build is the only way to encourage people to play this kind of game, imo (it's not very popular)
