Great art, but really cruel!

Well, that was... something.

The sound and art are great, and the whole atmosphere of the game is really well-constructed - it was so horrifically sinister the entire time.

The game is so cruel and sadistic, having to choose from three adorable animals and then being made to slowly chop it up, that it feels like the kind of thing you would see in a documentary about violent video games; I imagine most people would get a few disapproving looks if they were seen playing this (this sounds like a criticism, but it isn't - I actually really like how much the game leans into this theme).

If I had to address one issue with a game, I would say that it feels like the player isn't progressing towards anything, but just aimlessly brutalising their prey - though maybe this is the point of the game.

Overall, I enjoyed trying this out, even if I did feel disgusted with myself the entire time. Great work!

This game is adorable

The atmosphere and sound design are really cool. I really like that dark humor.
But that being said the part about this experience that is missing is gameplay that doesn't exist. I would call it more like an interactive experience than a game. Maybe if there was a part where you needed to do something more than just select creature you would feel more that killing those creatures is an actually sacrifice. Like you need to befriend them by doing some mini game or something :)

Not gonna lie but I do feel abit uncomfortable playing it but it is definitely well made, not too sure what is the end game of it though. I think the main menu is abit too pixelated that it is difficult to make up what is going on. I am also not too sure what the player will do with upgraded hats so there is a less sense of accomplishment of the game. Overall the music is fitting and the pixel art is well made.

Wow -- I love that the title screen is unicorn vomit and then as soon as you click you're confronted with an executioner, bloody chopping block, and imprisoned animals. Fantastic.

When I first started playing I thought what an adorable game and then violence of it actually surprised me a lot, wasn't prepared for that. But it was done in a very neat way and I really loved the sounds!

Must make number go up...

Pretty traumatizing.. I love the transition from the title screen to the gameplay, I laughed pretty hard. Started to feel pretty sick soon after that, which I'm sure you were going for, so well done on that. There's not much gameplay though. As was stated before, I think this actually has a lot of potential as an idle game. Or if there was any kind of progression.

The graphics and sounds are amazing. I like that you thought to include a sound if you just hit the stone block with the axe. I feel like gameplay was lacking a bit, it sort of felt like the only thing I was fighting was my morals so it was not very challenging.

Atmospherically, this game is soooo amazing. I love the variety of the animal "OOF" sound effects and the detailed blood splatter. Obviously the gameplay is a little shallow but it's fun and relaxing just to be like, "aw heck yeah, I made a beanie!"

Graphics and sound set the atmosphere of a fun game, but the gameplay is cruel. I like the combination of two things that are so different.
