Winter is coming and the ant colonies are preparing for gathering food. Unfortunately, there's not enough for everyone this year... conflict is approaching. Assume the role of a majestic ant queen and command your forces to conquer Ant Island.

  • Gather massive ammounts of food to satisfy your gluttony
  • Give birth to hundreds of hungry ants to gather even more food for even more hungry ants
  • Steal the eggs of other colonies and make them believe they'r your sons, because you're a bad person.
  • Attack defenseless worker ants while they try to make a living.
  • Play with up to 4 friends. Show them who's the queen.

Great game! Despite I played alone it was so much fun. It is well polished and is so funny. I hope you keep working on the idea and bring some IA to play agains the computer.
Congrats!

Pretty fun game.

Could be nice to add a solo mode though.

Amazingly good game. You must choose at least two players, so if you play alone you will have only two enemies instead three. That is its only default, everything else is really good.

Really nice little strategy game, plays really well for something made in just a few days! Loved the music. :) I got destroyed but I might have to bookmark this to play again later. Could maybe have a singleplayer mode?

Wow, that was unexpected ! Congratulations, this is a totally playable and enjoyable couch game. We were impressed to discover more mechanics during the session (raiding the nest and stealing eggs !). There is a small lack of clarity, and it was a bit long to have someone gaining control of the map to reach 200, but the graphics are lovely and the gameplay is amazing. Bravo !

I think the WebGL version is a little messed up - it seems to force at least 2 players? I downloaded the Windows version and was able to play solo and it's really rather hard!!!
I lost my first game but by then I understood the mechanics of the game so I replayed. The problem I then faced was that the game went on for ages! With a little more balancing I think this could be a great game!

Played this game with a friend some days ago. It's cool to see a strategy game on a gamejam.
The game feel of this game is really polished and everything works as it should. The game is really enjoyable, even better when you play with someone else, and it is easy to understand and play.

Great game! :)

Well done!

Music is great, visuals are great, design is great, what can I say more? Totally enjoyable!

I was a bit concerned at the start screen when I had to play with 2 players, I thought I should play against myself, but instead I was glad I was against 3 AIs and not 4!

Great work, really

Great game, all aspects of it. Only one issue I've had was the Queen was hard to spot (some sort of color on her would help).

I really do enjoy games with tons of little characters all battling it out. This has some potential. The graphics were nice even though they were so minimalistic. Well done!

Wow, a couch game for the LD, now that's some dedication!

Even with the nice little explicative image in the How To Play section, I was a bit lost at the beginning. Fortunately, the game is very self-explanatory once you try it out for a bit. Even with the initial confusion, I managed to win at the end, mostly investing all my resources in creating the biggest ant army ever (lol). Turning the tables on the CPUs was very satisfying!

Extra kudos for the IA of the enemies, feels really "alive" to me, impressive work right there.

Nice music, nice audio, works without glitches!
I'm very curious about the AI, I hope you make a postmortem later about it!

If you have the time, please play and rate my game:

Seriously, one of the best entries I've seen so far. Very tightly executed concept, nice graphics and audio, easy-to-understand mechanics. Also curious how you implemented the AI. Congrats on getting all of this done for the Jam!

PS. Love the name :D.

Yeah, this is getting a very high rating from me. I love the blend of 2D and 3D going on here, the soundtrack is very appropriate and not annoying, and the gameplay mechanics are pretty solid and engaging. I would actually like to play this multiplayer with some friends sometime, and I really enjoy how nicely all the grouping and control stuff works.

Overall, really fantastic work here. Definitely keep it up!

Loved the militaristic music. Great fun - took a few goes to figure out - didn't figure out how to breed ants the first time round.
