Platformer.txt is a game where you manipulate files to influence the state of the game and your avatar in order to complete the different levels, if you like the game please tell us, it is possible that we will make a real game of it in the future

But SaveLastPosition - it`s a confused name. I think it should be renamed to SavePositionOnReset
the interaction between the different mechanics is nice, the overall aesthetic is simple and effective. Congrats to the team !
We had like 10 different ideas to work on after the theme was revealed. But nothing close to that.
Great work!
Cheers!
Despite the difficulties, I enjoyed the game overall.
A few times it was pretty fiddly switching between windows with the right timing, but it was compelling enough to keep me going. Well done!
Took a bit to figure out how the moving of files worked like how I needed to activate the "SaveLastPosition" before using the "Reset" file. On the third level I somehow managed to double jump onto the platform using the "SaveLastPosition" file while midjump? I didnt realize that I could bounce on the enemies since I kept dying to it until later haha.
I only used one instance of Windows Explorer and it became a bit annoying to have to navigate back and forth between the folders - would have been nice if the folders all reset into the main folder at the start of each level, minus the "PlayerColliderBox". Or maybe if there was a "Reset Files" that I could drag into the Activate folder to bring all the files to the main folder.
While I didnt really see the sacrifice theme, it was a great concept and had fun puzzles :)

Thank you for this feedback more than complete, it's true that for the savelastposition it was not clear I should have called it otherwise to make it clearer, it's amazing that you managed to pass level 3 using savelastposition I would have liked to see that, your are right actually I should have made sure that the files reset after each level to make it easier and less disturbing, the game is not really in relation to the theme but at the very beginning we started with the idea that at the end of each level the player would have to sacrifice a part of the avatar (e. g. the view, the sound, the jump....) then I dont remembrer how we got to talking about doing this via files that the player could delete but after this idea we continued brainstorming until we got to the current idea that doesn't really correspond to the theme, but we started from the theme to get to this idea (otherwise we can also say that the dev sacrifices the level management to leave it to the player)
I'd have preferred if the file managment took place withing the game. Win 10 doesn't sometimes refresh, so the player/win user still sees the files that aren't there. (I actually restarted the game thinking I hit a bug, but it was just this...)
Also, quickly moving files from from folder and back seemingly isn't what explorer had been really made for  So you could provide a mock OS/GUI (think Kingsway), but that's definitely something outside the scope of a jam game.
In any case, this a great entry.
I think i see another game like that in the LD43
The problem would be that the game does not tie much with the idea of sacrifice. Since you have a limited amount of available files per level from the get-go and you can swap easily between them, the trick is more about proceeding by elimination rather than really discarding files to get to the end. Sure, the jump is disabled in the last level, but maybe (just a suggestion) the game should delete itself some files, and you'd have to either recover them or recreate them yourself to continue, that would give the game more puzzles to challenge the player whie giving him a sense of pride for managing to trick the game into it's own... "Game" (pun not intented, yes I'm proud of it).
But as I already said, in 72 hours maybe I'm asking too much. I suggest you to not let that project go away and expand it to make a full-fledged game. Good luck, and good job!
The fast file movements were kind of hard because of the inherent delay of the file system, but I ended up getting it after many tries.
Awesome job!
Have you played [this entry](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/just-delete-them) yet? They used the same core concept of manipulating files outside the game.
